I hate to come off as a spelling / grammar Nazi, but it's hard to take a fan fiction seriously if the word "quiet" is misspelled as "quite" not once, but twice, and just in the first paragraph of the first chapter. Same goes for calling thrash metal "trash metal".

Then again, some of the unholy abominations I churned out in middle school were at least as unprofessional, and definitely worse in terms of every other area. When it comes to poor-quality fanfiction, the core of the Earth is the ****ing limit.

No offense or anything but, as someone who's read over a thousand fics in the last two months to help out fanfic rec blog that's getting on it's feet, if those are the only errors you've found, then it sounds like you've come across some pretty decent fics. ^^ Nothing a beta wouldn't be able to fix. If it's bugging you, though, maybe check the author's profile or notes and see if they accept concrit. Most of us welcome a bit of polite concrit or warnings about typos.

I'd kind of like to do the prize pic sometime before the winner is selected. >.> Though I guess if it doesn't show up before the announcement, I can just show people which image is being used for the poster...but it just wouldn't be the same. ._.

+Made myself a free little imprint to put on the next edition of WoN and the rest of the books as they come out. Beats the hell out of it saying "CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform". And also shows my blatant favouritism toward a particular character....

Disappointment abounds me right now. For years there has been a mysterious building on the horizon, it has a big wind turbine in front of it and what looked like several weather apparatus on its roof and as such kid me dubbed it "The Weather Institute" after that place in Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire and I've spent many an afternoon daydreaming about what might go on there.

Cut to today and the house was out of bounds so I grabbed my gear, looked at my compass and just took off in a direction and kept walking. After many, many miles I by chance happened to end up in front of this mysterious building for the first time and it turned out to be....a school. Just an ordinary school building for elementary kids. All my childhood illusions were shattered in that one moment. :'(

None taken, I'm well aware that what I read was good by comparison. I wouldn't say it bugs me, I just tend to get rather nitpicky at times.

This house is too friggin old.
The kitchen light has been flickering like it's at a rave. And then it keeps glowing for 20 seconds after I've switched it off.
The funny thing is that it can stay on for a solid few minutes before it flickers.
And now the lounge light has also joined in the party.
So I'll try and see if it's the tab in the socket and if I can fix it today.
But if the lights keep doing this, I'm using 'the house is haunted' excuse when we finally give our notice to move out.
It's not like they're going to come fix these issues before then, anyway.

The people who constantly bitch about "degeneracy" and the collapse of Western civilization are the most pathetic and laughable thing I've seen in my whole life. Nothing more than bitter 1950s or Medevial LARPers who haven't accomplished anything, and wouldn't last a week in those time periods. I sure WISH Western civilization were under attack, I would proudly contribute to its downfall just to spite them. I'm proud to be everything that they consider "degenerate", and will continue to revel in those "filthy" behaviors not just for my own pleasure, but in hopes that they scream themselves into a stroke. In the meantime, they can stay butthurt about it until they use up all the world's supply of ointment. Their fantasies about a crusade or Holocaust against modernity will remain just that - fantasies. They are powerless to stem the tide of degeneracy. Either embrace it, step aside, or get trampled on.

I wanted to write some more tonight but given that nobody is coming to fix the window tomorrow and I'm brain slush tonight, I'l just go at it again tomorrow instead.
Also, I need friends on PS4. The hubs has been playing online with his mates (one whom is a woman) for hours on end. I don't like hearing a female voice coming from his headset. But I can't tell him that because he'll just dismiss it as me being paranoid and jealous. So I've got to get a bunch of my own mates to co-op with on PS4, so I can get (as my kids say) payback.
