I've hit that ideal spot of having 1 amazing SP game and 1 amazing MP game to play. (...and 1 that is both lol) ALL I have been playing the past handful of days has been:
Final Fantasy 16
Marvel vs Capcom 2
...but I'll still throw in Space Marine 2 on that list, since I do plan to play it today. I really need to finish the campaign. But man, FF16 is awesome. May be in my Top 5 favorite FF's. And MvC2 is so fun, I haven't played in 10+ years. The journey of finding my team has been fun. For now, I've settled on Psylocke/Blackheart/Sentinel. Yes, Psylocke on point.

Are you prepping for Khaos Reigns? Are you invested in the storyline? I can talk MK all day lol. I used to play the series a lot, but in recent years have preferred other FGs. Still, it's always nice to see when someone else is playing. I just love FGs.

Yeah, a new VF would be awesome. For now, I am content with Tekken 8 and MvC2 until the new Fatal Fury game comes out. I may try out Elena or Mai in SF6, too, see how I jive with them. Pocket Bravery is an indie FG I'd like to play more single player content for to get unlocks and such.
MK was the only 2D FG I played for basically all my life until 2017 when I dived into air dashers. I have been tempted to re-install MK1 just to occasionally check the cosmetics store. I heard they were giving out free skins on a rotational basis for some time recently. But damn, it's a huge install, like you said.
I still love MK, I still play the story modes, watch the movies, watch tournaments, get MK memorabilia, etc. I just can't get re-acclimated to the gameplay anymore, after playing more and more other 2D fighters in recent years.
As a sad side note story, Guilty Gear used to be my #1 played game and probably like 1A or 1B as my favorite FG franchise, along w/ MK. I then got banned from ASWU's twitch chat because I typed out a middle finger in text emoticon style (which is just ..l..) and the automod permabanned me, I think confusing it for a penis. Or maybe they don't like middle fingers either. Regardless, it seemed extremely petty for a one-time offense permaban. I appealed, even talked to a CS rep twice and they would not lift the ban. So...I decided to no longer support ASW.
I really do miss Guilty Gear. I would love to play Strive again, and UNI2 (which I know isn't an ASW-dev'd game, but they do publish it, so they'd get money from it). Oh well, MvC2 has been a real savior, as busted as it is lol.

That was pretty harsh on the ban, pretty sad in fact. A warning would have been more than enough if they wanted to enforce rules etc.
Finished crisis core ff7 reunion earlier, played the sinking city after that and now i am playing mortal kombat 1

That would be because Sega outsourced the dubbing process to PitStop Productions which is a British studio lol.
metaphor refantazio is a long demo that gives you most of the first act.
it doesnt beat the persona fantasy comparisons and its some fun deja vu.
the archetype system feels like an evolution to personas and the swap between action and turn based is smooth.
