AVG (Anti Virus Guard) Free Edition. I haven't used Avast but I've heard really good things about it.

I use ZoneAlarm and MalwareBytes. They scan at 5:00 and again at 8:00, and so far, no viruses. The nice thing about ZoneAlarm is that it blocks malicious IP's from hacking my computer as well.
