Tim Phillips: voice actor of Dante....................notice anything?

i see him in his early twenties, perahps 21 or something, but we are both just assuming so neither one of us is right i was just pointing that out.
Tameem Antoniades said Dante in DmC is a younger Dante compared to DMC Dante (age wise).
But isn't DMC 3 Dante like around 20 years? Because if your assumption is correct and mine (16 years) is wrong, then doesn't that mean that Tameem misspoke?
And if he didn't misspoke, then doesn't that mean my assumption is more correct?

tameem did not specify which dante that DmC dante was younger than. he could've been talking about dmc1's dante who looks to be around late twenties early thirties. also i think when tameem said this was a younger dante, i think this statement is very vague and doesn't mean that he is necessarily younger than any of the incarnations of dante

That's true. And no wonder fans are confused with vague statements. If only they could specify :)

He looks like a 17 year old to me. It could be weird for a 21 year old in a orphanage.

true dat. i don't think he lives in an orphanage anymore considering he had his own trailer.

Yeah, i know. I was just thinking it would be weird if he escaped orphanage when he reaced 19 or 20 years old. Assuming he started living on his own at age of 20.

I've said this already. Because of their radically different appearance and personality, its more fitting to have a different voice actor. It is a reboot after all.

So Reuben langdon is a carefree guy who eats pizza and fruit drinks, and is being lazy?
And Tim is a angry punk who likes to be hateful to his enemies ?

It's appropriate because it's a reboot not because Tim has the match personality :P
Did Antoniou banderos have the personality of a cat and ebcause of this he was given the role to be voice actor of Puss in boots?

See my point :D?

Let's see: DMC Dante lost his brother, his father and his brother. Yes, his insults are not meaningful because he jokes with the demons? DMC started with 1 and it was a good foundation story, sadly DMC 1 is was when Dante was at a big age. He wasn't 16 years old. And DMC 2, 3 and 4 didn't portray DMC Dante's teenage years or did great things for DMC story. DMC 3 wasnt to bad though.

I know you didn't say that DmC Dante didn't insult his enemies. I just said that there are few scenes where he has in trailers.
As far as bloody mess goes when DmC Dante chops his enemies to pieces? That is gameplay. Any actions that you the player perform in a gameplay session will not have any affect of how DmC Dante is. Example if you didn't attack demons so brutally when playing DmC, let's say you killed them off by attacking them with rebellion swings at a slow pace til they died. Would that mean Dante is a sadistic character? No. You must distinguish between gameplay and story.
The bloody gore is there to make you the player go "Wow look at blood" :P

I think my assumption that DmC Dante won't be smoking is a good one. Because Capcom cares about sales. I won't say that it's a fact Capcom asked NT to make whitehair-redjacket devil trigger because of sales, but i am 99,9% sure it's why.
And if a smoking rebooted Dante bothers DMC fans, Capcom will tell NT "No smoking".
What? Gameplay and story is always connected. The gameplay continues the story. There's tons of games where player actions (in gameplay) radically effect the game (Fallout, Fable, Infamous). I never said Dante was sadistic either. Its very obvious in both cutscenes and gameplay that Dante is far more violent.

And yeah, I know the old Dante went through a lot, but he is so poorly written that it doesn't seem to effect him. At least new Dante's past events affect his personality. The writers of the old games obviously didn't give two ****s about story.

No, I meant their acting style. Reuban sounds care free and silly when he's acting. I don't mean that the actors are really like their characters. That's why they are called actors.

Reuben is too old to be the voice actor for the new Dante. His voice wouldn't fit.
Not saying Reuben should be the voice. Just proving to Dante47 that the voice of Tim is care free as well.
It depends on what role the developers want the actor to take.

Also, it has been stated MANY times that the new Dante is NOT the original Dante, so it will only make sense that they had different voice actors.

You based this off one instance. Of course someone will be care free next to a friendly. Kat is someone Dante trusts. He doesn't have to hide his emotions or be hostile. He's comfortable with some one he can trust. While the old Dante always seemed comfortable, no matter who the company. That's what I'm trying to say.

He never said that. He said Dante is young. He never referenced any of the other Dantes.

Actually he said "Dante is younger" or young. As Chocoghost pointed out it could be misinterpreted in many ways because his didn´t specify what he meant exactly.
And when you don´t do that people can read what you have said in many different ways.

0;19 he talks about that DmC is a reboot DMC. And then he says shortly after "It+s a story about Dante when he's young". Young in comparison to who?

In comparison to him being old. I think that's all there is to it, you guys are looking too much into it, imo.
