When will people get their heads out of George R R Martin's backside and realise that for a fantasy novelist, he's actually pretty crap, self indulgent and dull as ditch water?

Don't get me wrong, Terry Brooks will always be the worst on the planet with his appalling Shannara drivel, but having actually sat down and read the Game of Whateverness series of doorstops - sorry, novels - it is just so evident that here is an author who just writes for the sake of writing and that writing is pure crap. Unoriginal, intentionally provocative crap.

I've no doubt that the TV series has been made enjoyable but the novels themselves leave a hell of a lot to be desired.

I knew I wasn't missing out when I avoided that show. Not out of dislike -- it was out of... instinct, I guess. Just didn't feel like getting into it.

Shannara (or whatever it's called) is still on my to-do list, though... just to see how bad it is. One of the books, anyway.

If people want to discuss character's clothes, shoes, underwear or the size of his ****ing member, then that's their problem. You are free to get into the discussion or to **** off, but you are not free to complain about it just because you were not given something that would interest you.
Some of us are not experts on gameplay and appreciate story and various symbols analysis.

Hey, guess what? I've come to a realisation. And that's this.

Why is it that some people (most often than not I sense that for no real reason) just seem to be so unhappy? They just appear to be so ****ed off with everything.

I don't know. Maybe smiling hurts their face, because it's something they've never done before in their entire life. Not counting those times in School when they had to have their picture taken, as to which they had to pretend to smile or failing that had a banana forced into their mouths sideways.

What the actual **** are you so miserable about?...

...Or better yet, allow me to place all of your many troubles to one side and ask you a different question. When you're working, how do you feel you should conduct yourself? Because it seems like you carry that two ton bag of woes around with you even at work. I'm talking about those bus drivers, taxi drivers, retail assistants, fast food servers etc

Is it really that hard to set aside your issues of your personal life? Is it too much to ask for a please, thank you or other form of acknowledgement? Because the way in which I view it is simple. No matter your worries, you are at work. You are supposed to have your own set of morals. They should include manners, decency and respect.

I won't say you cant be unhappy. Heck, if life gets you down, I wont say I can't sympathize with you. But if you can't even make an effort to show some form of pleasantness to your fellow human being whilst you are at work. Then I simply can't show you my respect.

My favorite anime site was suddenly taken down today. Life goes on, but it's a real shame cause it had the biggest collection, including plenty of old series that people today may not even know of.
I wish international laws weren't so muddy and there could be a site where all anime could be legally viewed for free by anyone. I don't care if they had to put million ads to keep the project going, I just don't want to feel isolated cause I'm poor or live in the wrong region.
