Why must everything said about something be summed down to "hate"?

It's constructive critism.

It is not a Devil trigger. It is Dante trigger.

And let's not forget the demons look is what makes them demons according to DMC definition of a demon. Their hair or clothing change (not that demons wore clothes) has is not what defined their look.

DMC (not DmC) is a japanese game and the game serie that defined the term "Devil trigger". If anything DmC has defined a trigger suiteable to be called "Dante trigger".

Demonic look has a deeper purpose than just for looks: it signifance is that the character who has 50% demonic blood has gone berserk leading to great increase in power and brutal attacks (DMC 3 Dante vs Vergil fight: awakening or DMC 1 vs Mundus fight).
And because DMC is a japanese game inspiration comes from the "anime" mentality where a character goes berserk on verge of death or when a loved one is in danger. And that triggers the character's demonic blood.
We see this with Naruto's demon "Kyubi" and Bleach's Kurosaki Ichigo.

Bleach Kurosaki Ichigo's Dark side (Hollow IChigo is the name)

Naruto: the demon that lives inside of him (a demon that is triggered when Naruto is angry):

I say Dante's trigger here is more like Naruto's Kyuubi. The more angry he gets the more he starts to become more demon looking like Naruto does when the Kyuubi starts to take over and the tails start to grow more.

@Dragonmaster and everyone else thinking it's DT
It's not a DT. Because DT as i said has two purpose (look above for that). The most important purpose is the look otherwise it could just be called "Overload" or "Brawl time" or "Slaughtering time".
White hair and red jacket does not even qualify as a first stage to second stage (second stage being full devil trigger). And by first stage i mean partial transform (e.g a real devil trigger would give horns or red eyes).

So that white hair and red jacket power boost is not a DT. I say this because that's a fact. DMC logic states so.
However, if DmC wants to create a new law where hair and clothing change represent "Devil trigger" then that law will only exist in DmC.
And honestly it would be very absurd law. Why not call it what it is: "Clothing trigger" or "Dante trigger" or even "Saiyan" trigger since his hair represents power change.

Logic tells me DmC Dante being half angel will have some sort of angelic transformation.
And the obvious change is wings. Where does this thought come from?

Imagine your in a country called "DMC", and few steps away from you is the border to the country called "DmC":
Go over border to DmC Devil trigger COULD (if NT intends so) be hair + cloth change.
Go over to the country DMC and Devil trigger means what it should mean: A demonic transformation.

Devil trigger has two purposes in gameplay:
1. Demonic look
2. Boost

The point of calling it "Devil" trigger is because it makes you look like a devil/demon.
So boost alone does not qualify as Devil trigger.

The reality is - it's Dante trigger.
Do looks really matter? It makes him more powerful, therefore more demonic. It does the same thing in other games and the only difference is the look. I still have no idea why you guys are so worked up over his look!

Looks matter yes. It is what makes a girl a girl, a boy a boy, a apple a apple etc

Or should i ignore looks and tell a girl "Your a nice looking boy!"

But in video games? No, they don't.
Actually they do. Would you for example call DmC Dante's angel form when he has angelic wings anything besides "Angel form", "angel mode" or "angel trigger", "heaven trigger"?
Yes or no? Would you? If so what would you call it?

Actually, they do not, and you'd just call it an evo trigger...
Why are you so stubborn with this?...

Ok, Dante47 is saying do looks really matter?...
No, they don't otherwise we'd have a lot of flame wars going on...
And yes, I do mean evolution, get with the programme!...

I lost my fire to discuss. I tell you what if you want to think or say that white hair and red jacket is a Devil trigger feel free.
I'm done.

looks are what attract people to certain games so yeah i would say they're pretty important.
now is the look of a character or a certain aspect of a game important? some people will say yes some will so no.

Yoshi's looks is what makes him a dinosaur.

Kurosaki ichigo's hollow form is what makes the form "Hollow", because hollows look like that.

Naruto's Kyubi form is called Kyubi because he resemblances the demon fox when he looses to the demon's power.

Teenage ninja mutants looks is what makes them them.

Tekken Jin's demonic appears is what makes him devil Jin.

Sonic is called hedgehog because he's a hedgehog.

I just can't understand why noone agrees with me on that white hair and red jacket is not a DEVIL trigger.
I must be stupid i guess...

No, you said looks in general is important. But then said "now is the look of a character or a certain aspect of a game important? some people will say yes some will so no."

I don't see how you agreed with what i posted.

Ok just to make a point, then what the hell is Goofy?...

Minnie... Mouse

Either a dog or a horse, i am not sure. So what is your point with this question?

*facepalm*...
I don't know wether I just went for or against my original point...
Perhaps you were wondering why he's not named Goofy dog? Well i guess it must be a exception thing in Disney universe considering Pluto is a dog that owner is Mickey (a mouse).

Speaking for my own point, Goofy wouldn't be called a form of dog if he didn't look like one :P

Goofy is a tall, anthropomorphic dog
