Jesus H. Christ, as if dubstep is better than hardcore. It's today's version of hardcore, and it's generic as hell. Mindless, melodyless shouting and banging and what have you.

As for the gameplay, this is Devil May Cry. It's always been about combos, not just hacking and slashing. Dumbing down the game is not for me.

If it's so dumbed down, why couldn't people seem to beat the poison boss in the E3 demo?:troll:

Also, Dubstep (I guess in my opinion) is possibly one of the best styles of music out there. It's taken the normal melodies of music and given them a new feel tht hasn't been shown in the original. While DMC's music (Along with DmC) is just screaming into a microphone like some animal and moving around like you're having a seizure.

Well, I think Dubstep is ****, since even talentless people without musical knowledge or skill can create it, but call it what you want.

As for Poison, well, I think her design is just terrible. And sure, people might not be able to beat her, but there are many idiots out there, like the people who can't beat Dark Souls (or even die fighting the weakest monsters). And you can make any boss stronger than your character - that's an instant 'difficulty up' right there.

That's a little rude. calling people who don't know how to play a game idiots.

The gameplay. It's slow (when compared to the original DMC series, that is). No more true combos it seems, just a lot of hacking and slashing that's not in any apparent sequence.
Which DMC looks faster than DmC?(without turbo mode)
What do you it just hacking and slashing? From what ive seen there are plenty of moves and combos already. The scythe and rebellion both have 2 ground and air combos with the delayed button press although the axe seems to just have 2 combos total. It makes all the difference between people you see play, i had one friend who literally just mashed the attack button doing the same combo over and over and over with no style, he just wants to win. This game has lots of combo potential without even adding jump cancelling into the mix.

The bad:
- The characters, including Dante. Dante looks like some kind of hooligan, and he's got a pretty annoying voice. The girl looks like a prepubescent Rihanna with a hoodie on and denim shorts - disgusting and idiotic. Mundus is now a peabrain ape. Then there's 'Poison' - arguably the most badly designed boss ever. There's also something that looks like a bloated Balverine from Fable with a vagina in its head. No demons, just ugly creatures.

- The gameplay. It's slow (when compared to the original DMC series, that is). No more true combos it seems, just a lot of hacking and slashing that's not in any apparent sequence.

- The devil trigger. It isn't a devil trigger, really.

- The weapons (ugly, bland Ebony & Ivory, Rebellion looks lame).

- The music (almost as bad as dubstep).

The good:
- The graphics.
- Probably the story.
- The acting. Could've been better, though.

I don't mean to crap on your opinion, but you come off as terribly uninformed. Chocoghost(iirc) has already shown that the gameplay here isn't actually slower than previous games(though I could tell anyway), and the actual combos and such work the exact same way.

And Donte, are you saying you found DMC2/3/4 creepy?

LOL that is too much of an exaggeration don't ya think ?? Dubstep (In my OP) sucks no offence but it really doesn't require any skill just like auto-tune

True it just seems like screaming over and over but DMC 1 had Metal which was best in my opinion

EDIT
@Tylquan_DMC I'm not saying that it felt creepy the environments were grittier and barren not vivid and vibrant like DmC
LOL no offense @Lionheart but you sound like typical fanboy/fangirl

My name, by the way is Dante47! But you can call me Dante47 the bullshit exposer! Has a nice ring to it, don't you think?

- How does Dante's voice sound annoying? It's not like its whiny (Cough, Nero, Cough). We have only seen Kat's face, and she looks nothing like Rihanna. Your thinking of Lucia from DMC2. We've only seen Mundus once, and he looks nothing like a "peabrain ape" or whatever the **** that is. Are you not aware of DMC's past? We've had talking dogs, giant spiders, and a ****ing helicopter as bosses and you complain about the design of this one?

-The only gameplay we've seen is done by amateurs, people who aren't chaining combos like we will when we get our hands on it. Choco has done a study proving some moves and attacks are just as fast, and even faster than previous games.

- The Devil Trigger, is a ****ing Devil Trigger. It serves the same purpose and does the same thing. It just looks different.

- The music is electric but still heavy metal. Which is the same thing as ****ing every soundtrack in the whole series.

So everything you're complaining about makes absolutely no sense and is illogical. I know you have an opinion, but you are basing your opinion off false facts.

tbh and fair most of DMCs music is non specific guitar and bass. i never really was too fond of them. however every now and then they had an original piece of music which blew me the **** away such as:

so i reaaly hope they include some original music in the more dramatic and epic moments of the game

you rang? :)
yes, for anyone saying that the gameplay is slower well you should check out the break-down video i did comparing gameplays of DmC combat with past entries. i do very detailed, frame by frame comparisons to show that DmC is just as fast as any of the older dmcs. here's the video:

Lionheart, you have my regards for starting the most hilarious argument I've seen in this forum.

Anyways, the turn- off for me is just how far the game has branched from what originally defined the franchise in DMC 1. I was hoping that the next DMC game would return to that (basically pulling what I call a "Sonic Team Turn," Sonic the Hedgehog fans should get the referrence).

Devil trigger has two purposes in gameplay:
1. Demonic look
2. Boost

The point of calling it "Devil" trigger is because it makes you look like a devil/demon.
So boost alone does not qualify as Devil trigger.

The reality is - it's Dante trigger.

Agreed, DMC1 was the better soundtrack out of all of them. More beat, less screamo.

to be fair, glowing red and suddenly having your hair white IS pretty demonic. and honestly why is there so much hate on his devil trigger. i always just saw it as him tapping his inner demon. i never cared what he looked like cuz i was looking at it from the back. aaaand lets not forget weve had DTs looking like bugs/aliens/lucifer/an angel so give NT some slack on this one

Well I didn't like it cause it could only stay on until you hit the ground, but now that I got a better explaination on it, I don't mind it at all. At first I thought it was just something NT put in to say "Here! He has white hair as a devil trigger. Problem, fanboys?:troll:"

But now I think they did it because this an alternate telling of Dante's past where he grows into the white hair and red coat.

Why must everything said about something be summed down to "hate"?

It's constructive critism.

It is not a Devil trigger. It is Dante trigger.

And let's not forget the demons look is what makes them demons according to DMC definition of a demon. Their hair or clothing change (not that demons wore clothes) has is not what defined their look.

DMC (not DmC) is a japanese game and the game serie that defined the term "Devil trigger". If anything DmC has defined a trigger suiteable to be called "Dante trigger".

Demonic look has a deeper purpose than just for looks: it signifance is that the character who has 50% demonic blood has gone berserk leading to great increase in power and brutal attacks (DMC 3 Dante vs Vergil fight: awakening or DMC 1 vs Mundus fight).
And because DMC is a japanese game inspiration comes from the "anime" mentality where a character goes berserk on verge of death or when a loved one is in danger. And that triggers the character's demonic blood.
We see this with Naruto's demon "Kyubi" and Bleach's Kurosaki Ichigo.

Bleach Kurosaki Ichigo's Dark side (Hollow IChigo is the name)

Naruto: the demon that lives inside of him (a demon that is triggered when Naruto is angry):

im well versed in the terms of naruto and bleach. and im still meh. i like this new DT not as much as previous ones sure. but i think NT has more to do with this one and i trust theyll do something epic with it. as my good ol buddy Dragon master said:
