What's the difference between a sticky thread and a normal thread "? Example: 'New sig/artwork' thread from General Discussion section is a sticky one.
Please someone explain to me!!
If you go to the General Discussion or any other forum the stickied threads will always be at the top of the page regardless of their latest posts. So stickied threads will never be lost over time/newer posts.
Threads that have been Stickyed, such as rules etc are stuck in place so that they can be easily accessed by everyone. Threads will only be stickied if they are going to be constantly used for refrence or a productive manner of posting.
Staff are the only people whom can turn a thread from a Regular one into a Sticky one. LoD started a thread that both members and staff agreed would be useful to have as a permanant feature and thus it was made Sticky. If the same is felt about any thread it will be made Sticky, but is naturally left to the Staff to decide ^^
