[SPOILER] How Nero Loses His Arm

Yeah look, I don't know what the hell is up with V telling Nero Urizen was the one taking Nero's arm but that is Vergil and there's no doubt about it. At this point my guess is that Urizen got it somehow and so they think he's the one who originally took it.

Well if it's the beginning of the game I have my hopes that Vergil will appear somehow because it makes no sense him being the villain

Ronin

Let's rock, baby!
Glad to hear Kyrie mentioned. Hope she’ll appear in the game.

And hope that’s Vergil and how they’ll explain how he survived after the aftermath in DMC1.

Interesting that Nero knows Nico before he loses his arm, would've thought that was the catalyst that leads him to looking for a specialist in prosthetics/engineering. :bored:

Dante definitely seems to know and trust V so I doubt he was "lying" (intentionally or otherwise) when he claimed that Urizen was the one who took Nero's arm. Hmm...so many questions.

Was it me or in the game play nero is fighting without and arm.... Couldnt tell for how dark it was

So a few things. I really like the cinematics and ACTUAL stakes that the game has. Dante's not in control and has lost. Like legitimately lost at the very beginning. It definitely makes for some great character building.

V looks like something from My Chemical Romance, but in a good way. So you end up fighting the supposed big boss at the beginning of the game, huh? I guess that makes sense when taken into consideration. Still not a fan of the fact that this Urizen is the one who took Nero's arm. That was clearly Vergil's sleeve and glove, along with that arm turning back into Yamato.

Also that cutting a portal open is straight out of DmC.

I don't think we'll see Kyrie physically, but I'm sure she'll more so be mentioned. I just wonder if Stephanie Sheh will voice her again.

I feel like nero might get his own DT.... V says if wanted to be any help to dante he gotta get stronger.. So maybe it could be a slight hint of a nero DT?

That's what I was thinking. It is likely that Vergil works for Urizen but in secret has his own agenda unbeknownst to everyone.

Noteworthy the fact that he seems to be in a weakened state yet he rips Nero's arm off bare handed and with ease. Probably cause it was a surprise attack.

Not gonna lie, I'm disappointed that the Devil Bringer just exploded into the Yamato like it did. I sincerely hope that this isn't the end of the Devil Bringer. :'(

Though I am interested if 5 will go in to the origin of Yamato and how it came to be in Sparda's possession.

maybe the hooded figure we saw is the spirit of Yamato assuming Vergil's form? :ninja:

So basically DMC1 with being someone lacky and DMC3 involving him working with someone for his own gain. If that's true, then that's lazy writing to ONCE AGAIN make Vergil play partner to another wannabe demon king.

Deadlegend

I’m going to hell y’all want anything?
What if Vergil (or what appears to be him in the videos anyway) took Nero’s arm i.e Yamato, to try and defeat Urizem but fails to do so and thus the sword being now in possession of Urizem? To me, it would make sense from V stating that “...it was him taking [Nero]’s arm...”.
Just a theory, of course. :bored:
