So...is he stronger?

Nope, Sonic can only go at the speed of sound.

I don't remember the fight with Vergil. What I do remember is spamming Stinger and Jet-Stream since I was new to the series back then. But I remember Credo and Berial as my favorite fights in DMC4. I hate Sanctus. Dagon and Bael were okay; I was cornered and he kept spamming his eat attack, such a BS death. Enchidna wasn't that interesting. Dante was annoying because he had everything to counter you with. But he was not as annoying as the Savior since I didn't remember what you had to do to kill the damn thing.

Also, come to think of it. T-Rex Vergil could have been a good idea . . .

Edit: I didn't know there were comics of Sonic. o.O I feel heartbroken now.
 
Can't find that comic but here is the comic of him traveling the cosmic interstate at 148,000 light years he did that in hours which is over 10times light speed and this base form.

Oh yea, Credo was pretty awesome too, every swing of his weapon exuded POWER, and he was fast as **** ontop of it. Dante seems like a missed opportunity; it could've been an awesome fight where you have to adapt and counter Dante's switching in styles, but I mostly remember spamming air snatches until I could Buster him, or waiting for him to switch to Royal Guard so I could buster the **** out of him moreso. Bael's concept was interesting; a demon frog who baits *people* like he's fishing lol.
 
Back on topic though, DMC Dante is extremely strong.

He's...a lot stronger than I thought he was. Apparently, his stats are good enough to single-handedly beat the entire One Piece crew, after their 2 year timeskip.
 
Hm... Superman and Sonic in the first comics had a lot in common. Ridiculously broken characters who did wtf they wanted.
