The unbalanced roster, the lack of extra modes, and the atrocious amount of emphasis on DLC costumes and Character Creation mode is what 99.9% of the SoulCalibur fanbase was complaining about. Trust me: you aren't alone. Finally somebody else says it besides me! Balanced roster>80% oversexualized roster. It's just my preference, I can't speak for everyone.
As long as the gameplay and modes are up to previous DoA standards (in every way SoulCalibur V was LACKING), then I don't care what kind of fan-service they include. The emphasis is on the gameplay, where it should be....the fan-service, while prominent, is still secondary to the actual game.Anyway, did any of yall see this topic yet?
For me, I'm sorta in between about it. While I commend the team for stepping up and showing that DoA is more than just boobs and yaoi(god, I hate that), I also think they're overdoing it. In a fighting game tournament, nobody gets offended by almost everything, so the censorship is pointless.
The only game that put the fan-service first and the gameplay second was Xtreme Volleyball, because all the mini-games and volley-ball mechanics in that game were absolute sh!t...slapped together around a game where the emphasis was on the outfits and the photo mode.
