I'm just some guy who really like Devil May Cry
If they release this game in a new storyline, new characters, different title they wouldn't have get such heavy criticism and could have win the fan's heart - both existing and new fans. This reboot is just ******* off Kamiya's DMC fans.

yh it was so selfish of capcom to try something new with a property they felt was becoming repetitive and stale. damn them for trying innovation and trying to be creative rather than playing it safe and releasing the same game over and over. do you sense the sarcasm there cause i really mean it. seriously, there is nothing wrong with wanting to start again in a new direction. Capcom felt that after DMC4 that the series was just loosing its flair. they wanted something brand new. NTs original concepts resembled old DMC but capcom rejected it as "if they wanted something similair they would have done it themselves"

Also there is the point that the game has no multiplayer, games that do not have the length of Mass Effect or Skyrim need multiplayer otherwise you may as well just rent the game, who wants to pay £40/$60 for a game that you could rent and complete in a day. Maybe spend three days on if your going to grind achievements.

Which means complete strangers to the genre, such as myself, who played and adored the demo, love the new punk design of Dante, over the overly J-Rock design of the origonal Dante, are waiting for the game to drop in price in the sales.

The second it hits £20 I know I will be buying, I just cannot convince myself to pay full price for an incredibly short game that is not as rich in content as many that I am use to playing, such as Dragon Age and the other titles previously mentioned.

Regardless of opinion, the reason games like Call of Duty and Halo do so well, is not just the fact that it is open to all levels of players, it is because of the vast multiplayer experience to draw players in and keep them playing, hell I have been playing Gears of War for over six years now thanks to multiplayer, maybe if DmC had some sort of multiplayer/competitive mode that involved other players in the same game then maybe it would of had better launch sales, as it is, just because one person plays it, no one else needs to, but if all your friends are playing black ops, well your going to have to go and buy black ops.

hack and slash games are obviously not meant for multiplayer -_- THIS ISN'T COD and the hack and slash genre will probably never have multiplayer that doesn't feel like it was just tacked on

*rolls eyes* Someone hasn't played Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2's co-op/multiplayer mode. Yes, we know DMC isn't COD, but a multiplayer component would never hurt, especially if executed properly. Just take notes from Team Ninja. NGS2's MP was badass. And try not to use COD as a target for everything. Games have had multiplayer BEFORE COD. Do your homework man. And please, for the love of Uncle Dante, stop fighting with people on YouTube over DmC opinions! It's getting really old seeing you EVERYWHERE I go. If people can be happy about DmC, then they can also be ****ed about it! Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Just accept that and deal with it. It's how life works. I could say New Dante sucks (Just an example. I like him a lot). Are you going to retaliate by taking what I like (Old Dante) and saying something bad about him? Most likely. It's what you do. Cut the bullshit dude.

yes lemme tell you how critically acclaimed ninja gaiden's multiplayer is man, definitely considered as an innovative experience and not just a chaotic mash fest -_-

Hypocrite. <_< YOU are the one who's making childish comments here just because you just whine, bitch and moan. Which is also a definition of childish. :p Wanna ask: DMC2 is terrible. The anime series is terrible. And THIS ruins the franchise?

For me, I don't care if this game wouldn't sell or it will. It can be a rare gem just like Okami, which is also a flop.
DMC 2 does suck but it had no story which couldn't ruin it or improve it the anime I never saw and telling facts is bitch and moan how this game fails to compare to previous DMCs yea then I'm a bitch

Capcom won't be happy with it... Maybe they will do a sequel but slowly I begin to doubt it... And no I don't think they suddenly will turn back to the old series... I either expect them to let the franchise be in hiatus for a long time or someone else will develop DmC2

What if it was they did a sequel, but it was more like the originals, like leaning more to a remake than a reboot. The ending of the game could set that up. o.o so in the next one they did something more towards the DMC3 plot, but not the exactly the same. Not sticking to it word for word as much as Resident Evil 1's remake, but not going too off the rails like Silent Hill Memories that things still feel familiar.

They can also take another attempt t reboot. And I think that this is the best way for capcom. If they continue this reboot with NT many old fans would not return and if they return to DMC universe, many DmC fans will leave. And killing the franchase... THen they will follow THQ path

Whether they make a DmC2 or DMC5, they had better not revert back to the stupid, cluttered "Survival Horror" control scheme.

For the current control scheme, it looks as though they calculated which moves will be used the most and made them one-button, such as the one-button launcher and one-button dodge.

You need to hold triggers for certain moves but essentially, they still feel moves that are triggered with the press of a button.

The old "rejected RE4 beta" scheme was way too dependent on locking on to an enemy first.

Dante's Inferno also had a cool multiplayer mode called the Trials of Saint Lucia, and something alike could easily work in DmC.
That was something like co-op? I suppose co-op could work in dmc, maybe as different mode or part of bloody palace.

Yeah, and it kinda was like Bloody Palace. You could make your own missions, set up what monsters you wanted to fight, stuff like that.

Also, Saint Lucia was an awesome character.

yes its definitely ****ing off kamiya's fans, you know, the ones like you who don't seem to comprehend the fact that he only worked on DEVIL MAY CRY 1

DmC and DMC why can't we have both?

Which has the worst combat, the worst story and certainly the most boring enemies? That one? Yep, that's Kamiya´s DMC.

I think you're all thinking of Itsuno's DMC
