I'm not trying to convince him I'm just making him upset that I have facts that the game he loves sucks compared to the old ones
you aren't making anyone upset, and frankly, i couldn't care less if this was better or older than the old ones, because seriously, why does that matter, NT's job was, to make an excellent game, and that's exactly what they did, especially considering this is the second highest rated dmc game, but those were all paid off right, btw, the ignore button exists, and i'm gonna ignore you, and there's nothing you can do about it but whine and moan about how somehow me being the better person somehow=you winning, bye bye now loser, enjoy not being able to enjoy excellent games thanks to rose tinted glasses

They were going to see how Devil may Flop sold...to see if they were going to continue it or go back to the original series...fans have spoken with their wallets
lol because not supporting game companies is definitely the right way to get a sequel to an outdated franchise saved only by decent combat and good boss battles in two of four games

I'm just some guy who really like Devil May Cry
Xbox 360 sales
  • DmC: Devil may Cry sold 183,109 units globally, in its first week.
  • Devil May Cry 4 sold 412,423 units globally, in its first week.
Playstation 3 sales
  • DmC: Devil may Cry sold 362,982 units globally, in its first week.
  • Devil May Cry 4 sold 519,838 units globally, in its first week.
So, that means the total figures for the global first week of sales are:
  • DmC: Devil may Cry sold 546,091 units.
  • Devil May Cry 4 sold 932,261 units.
while it lost by 400,000 units its not selling too poorly. not to mention the fact the level of controversy around it. it will take time for the game to be established as its own property. perhaps after a month or two we can see something more difinitive. figures are taken directly from VGChartz

yea its SOOOOOO long on DMD

>Looks at the video
>Sees the title called "DMD LDK Speedrun"

Since you want to post speedruns, look at this speedrun of the first mission.
Half of the game mission skipped just because of one exploit that's been found within the Demo, in which people said bugs would be fixed, multiple times.

I am not going to buy a game if i think its not worth the price just because its part of franchise i like. DMC3 and 4 were great games, i bought HD collection because i did not play DMC3 SE, first and second game. Capcom and NT pr for reboot was terrible, they dont respect potential customers, recent patch just shows their hypocrisy. I dont like potential product after playing demo so i just wont buy it. Capcom is not only publisher in whole world, my money will go company which preform better.

You quoted my post without actually responding to anything I said, I am confused.

Either way I am a PC player so I've only had the game a few days, but don't worry I'll be starting HAH soon (have to complete the game on HOH, SOS and nephilim first, and obviously I'm going to play DMD before that as well) so when I complete it in the not too distant future I'll upload a picture for you.
damn it replied to the wrong person

Well 2nd week is really... Weak... Not just UK or JP... But overall as for example in Germany as well.

In JP it even fails behind Bayonetta 2nd week sales, which just will give fuel to the bring us Kamiya stuff

Capcom won't be happy with it... Maybe they will do a sequel but slowly I begin to doubt it... And no I don't think they suddenly will turn back to the old series... I either expect them to let the franchise be in hiatus for a long time or someone else will develop DmC2

point:
-DMC3 is shorter than DMC4 which has about the same run time to that of DmC. about 4-8 hours long. DMC has never been about quantity or duration but quality. which i think NT delivered nicely
I've never beaten a whole devil may cry and got everything for it in 8 days and I could have done it in five days if I wanted to yea story wise they ain't long but beating each and every difficulty is a different story ninja theory made a game for new people or people who sucked at dmc to feel like they are nice

Yep DmC is easy to finish on all modes, and if I want a challenge, I'll go play DMC3. But for what it is, DmC was fun. I was more in it for the story this time round. Combat was good, but I've had more of a challenge in other games.
Why you care
Next time, edit your previous post insead of double posting. I'm not caring, it's more of a jerk reflex towards memebers who troll.

Hypocrite. <_< YOU are the one who's making childish comments here just because you just whine, bitch and moan. Which is also a definition of childish. :p Wanna ask: DMC2 is terrible. The anime series is terrible. And THIS ruins the franchise?

For me, I don't care if this game wouldn't sell or it will. It can be a rare gem just like Okami, which is also a flop.

To me, not really. Now, I am just looking forward for CAPCOM's consideration upon the original DMC series. DMC5 MUST BE MADE! Like I said before in one of the DmC threads, end the storyline for the DMC original series first. Then should they proceed to the DmC REBOOT storyline. Simple as that. ^____^

Most of the staff who made have left; Itsuno focused more on Dragon's Dogma. For those who want to have a DMC5:

"Good luck with that, Capcom."

So lemme guess, a game that sold over 500,000 copies in its premiere week is a flop? Give me a break! I thought a flop is when a game sold less than 10,000 or 100,000 copies. Whoever is saying that here better STFU! This is really starting to **** ME OFF!!

I guess part of the problem is when companies set very high sales figures. I'm all for a company getting back the production cost, plus a tidy profit, but it seems these days they want more and more, so sales figures that would have looked good in the past now seem like a failure to the company.

while i agree that unlike previous games this one doesnt constantly whip you again and again. reminding you that there are lower difficulties to try and that your balls look much better in this little box. however story wise i think it was gr8, and you may not have but i HAVE finished DMC games all the way in under a week (mind you it was an awesome one). point being legnth wise NT did nothing wrong.

If they release this game in a new storyline, new characters, different title they wouldn't have get such heavy criticism and could have win the fan's heart - both existing and new fans. This reboot is just ****ing off Kamiya's DMC fans.
