rebellion comparison

I wonder where he got the tattoo, since I doubt there are demon tattoo parlors. Was he born with it, maybe? Then how come it looks like Rebellion? :/
I'm not sure, but it seems to heal his wounds, yet I see no accounts of him regenerating during gameplay.
Yeah, his health doesn't even re-gen à la Rocksteady's Batman games.

And the nature of his tattoo is a conundrum indeed. Maybe it was a mark given to him shortly after he was born? That would kinda fit with the idea that his birth is a "Rebellion" in and of itself.

That would mean that he was "created for a purpose". Hopefully they won't go down the "Chosen One" route, since it's already been done do death by countless other games and movies.

But he kinda is the chosen one. He killed mundus in the first game, basically the all powerful super demon of all time.

I thought Sparda gave Dante his weapons, and the seal was just apart of it.

I wonder why he has to holster his guns when he could of just got another tattoo on his palms or something like that. But i guess its only cool if you flip your coat back and whip em out :/

He BETTER not regenerate. If he does, let it be painfully slow like in Prototype. Anyway, it could be a birth mark, or some mystical sign that appeared when he learned of his heritage?

Now i see those scratches differently. Those scratches are unlikely from human (except they only have 3 fingers), because they are in three lines each.

im sure its been mentioned before that a demons sword is the physical manifestation of his/her power. this would then explain the change between this and the origional.

I'm still saying the chicks he banged did the scratches. Why would scratches from demons regenerate days afterwards?
With the chick-theory we can emphasize his machoness.

Old dante didnt always keep Rebellion in a gutair case. In the first episode of the anime, Rebellion flew into dante's hand by breaking through a skylight on the roof of the bar. Dante could summon it on will.
Maybe Dante (new) has been cursed by the angles, and must carry the sword as a burden (like nero's devil bringer)

Dante is a disciplined person, if NT keeps his original personality intact.
He does things in a special way.
I think he is still a virgin. :D

You mean the guy flipping birds and cursing like a brewer? He doesn't seem disciplined to me at all and neither did old Dante, really. Constantly running your mouth, drinking like a sinkhole and getting all over hell's case constantly? ;)

Yes, a violent, nasty way as it seems. Why not be like that in the sack?^^

I HOPE he is still a virgin. :D
Fixed your little mispelling there. :D

He is unlikely to have chances to get in touch with people, because he is the most wanted. Because of demon's control on media that portrays Dante as a public enemy, every human fears him most likely. Kat is very likely the first human woman Dante actually talks a little bit more with. In the demo, Dante seems to try to speak a lot to Kat (probably because he doesn't have chances to talk with other people), but Kat seems not to be very responsive.

No really, I think it's cute that you so firmly believe that Dante is a virgin. ^^

You can not prove he isn't and we didn't see he has any close relationship with any woman. And sleeping-around theme is a sort of 15 year-old pornography. I don't quite think NT will use it in DmC because it doesn't fit with their style of character development. He is not a human, so hormone cannot explain anything that happens to Dante.

If that is what you want to convince yourself, then that's all fine by me.

We will wait to see more before we know more about this young Dante. I leave my words here for testing.

We both have our opinions and theories, so it can go either way. Neither of us are right as nothing has been proven yet, but we aren't wrong either. I just think it is very naive to think Dante is a virgin, but if you want to think he is, then that's cool.

It is even more naive to think Dante interacting a lot with humans, let alone hot chicks. I don't see things at the surface and i don't think NT and Capcom will make things straightforward. I base my analysis on old Dante. Finally, i do think DmC Dante is really naive and inexperienced.

They are all assumptions.
