PSM3 interview

This is my surrogate for an elaborate insult, demeaning your intellect, your ability to function in social situations and your complete delusion of humane drives.
You might find, that the smiley is far more polite, with not actually insulting you and all.

Seriously, that's what you believe is true?

Really your insulting me? Yeah that's what I believe what's it to you?

I'm not going to watch that Event youtube video.
But please explain to me what it is Alex says that makes you think he is laughing at fans, because I can't see it. Is it the hair comments? Because well... that is rather laughable. XD
It's that he kept using them after the hair thing was already over

yeah that is true the hair thing for actual dmc fans was over quite some time ago, however there is still a large portion of people on the internet with the only complaint is the hair. so to most of us fans alex's statements about the hair are annoying, but to others it is probably relieving.

Really good read, thanks for sharing Z218 :)

I'm not a big fan of Tameem, but he seemed pretty cool in this interview.

but kamiya made dante personality wise he said to be "the perfect drinking buddy" and to be like an american rock star, if I remember correctly. and you got to admit he was, I don't think there's anybody who wouldn't have a blast getting sauced with dante, he'd probably drink you under the table and still be fairly sober.

but that doesnt connect to what im saying.
I'm just saying Kamiya based Dante off his own preferences.

No problem, i feel bad i stole choco's thunder tho.

Most people still complains about the hair? Even at this point? 2012?
Jesus christ, why can't people just accept izaya and get over it.
I'm pretty sure most of them are hypocrite and gonna buy it anyway.

As for the insults, all i'm gonna say is some people are offended by it and some people are not.It depends on that person whether he doesn't have enough SoH.

Now, this is a comforting interview, at least I know that DMC is now in good hands except... well, it's not a DMC game. If Capcom wanted something different, why did they decide to continue the franchise? I would understand it if they are ending DMC and are trying make a predecessor for it, but this is a DMC- titled game. So, I'm confused as to what logic had encouraged to change DMC? Oh wait, they to give it more freedom, right? Then give the dang franchise more freedom! Seriously, Capcom's smart, they don't really need NT to make a game that's unique, that could push the boundaries DMC had placed. But I guess, it doesn't matter, what's done is done, no?

However, I feel this is one of those "beat-around-the-bush" interviews. It doesn't say anything particularly, though it does provide tidbits of info that are relieving. But I can't lie, some of the info made cringe a little. For example, Tameem's view on sex appeal (aka the big tits part), I'm sorry but I don't care who you are, any good developer and character designer would know that sexy woman make a sexy game, and you'll have to appeal to people on all fronts. What I'm afraid of is that NT would design their women as they always have been which is no treat for me. Really, its not a main concern for me, but if Trip is considered sexy to Tameem, then I would rather him stay away from female character designs.

It was ok. The only thing I really liked is the part about ripping the heart etc. All the other stuff were more or less predictable, but it wasn't a bad read - not good either, but really not bad.

If I want to complain about something it's the pictures. We've known about them for a long time (some, for years) but in every new interview I'm used at seeing new photos, unless there are multiple interviews in many magazines/places so of course that would be kinda impossible. But hey maybe I shouldn't.

Really your insulting me? Yeah that's what I believe what's it to you?

Um, I think he actually does not insult you mate. He just asks if you actually do feel insulted by his quote with the smiley. The way he phrases it is kinda weird, but...^^;;

They don't. Tameen just points to some differences between him and Dante to prove that this is not the case.

Though, even though I am of the opinion that designing someone to look like you is kinda unlikely - though that's just me - the differences he does point out aren't really helping his cause. I mean sure Dante is younger than him and better looking. Of course he would be younger since this is "the beginning of his story" and of course he is more handsome since he's a video game character who aims to be cool and stylish. Tameen didn't bother to offer a comment about his hair.

However I don't think why he even should. I'm amazed that the mass did such a fuss because of such a simple thing.

...if Trip is considered sexy to Tameem, then I would rather him stay away from female character designs.

It's really a matter of personal opinion I guess. I find characters like Trip and Nariko to be more likeable, because their personalities seem stronger and more real.

That's not to say that Lady and Trish are bad characters per se, but I don't think stripperiffic is the way to go for this game's female leads by any means.

"Most people are still plaining about the hair."
No, no their not, I have yet to see any recent complaints that is about hair. And whether it's 2012 or 3012 not everyone is going to accept Nante simply because time has passed it takes alot more than time to change some people's minds.

While I have no doubts that many people will buy this game anyway, many will stick to their word. ;)

As for the topic, it seems that media in general love to dodge real concerns and fan questions from talk show host, to music artist, to game developers ect. If no one wants to ask real questions then they should show us some more footage or something.

No matter what Tameem had responded to any of the questions asked in the interview, it wouldn't change a thing.
The haters will still keep on hating. Tameem could say "Yes, I had the design team make Dante look like me" or "No, I did not have the design team make Dante look like me" - it wouldn't matter in the end, because people are too proud to admit they were wrong. Instead of saying "Yeah, okay, he says he didn't do it, fair enough." people go "No way, he's lying!", because they have already made up their mind about this topic and aren't going to change that, no matter how much evidence is thrown into their faces. Hell, Ninja Theory's design team could put up a video of their design process, showing that Tameem is speaking the truth, and people would still find an excuse to not believe it!

This is why I think Ninja Theory and Tameem should just have ignored all those accusations thrown at them by the haters and just focus on making a great game, because THAT is what really matters. I don't care about Tameem's ugly @ss, I want information and footage of the game!

Other than taking a shot at the "haters" what does that really have to do with what I said?

I agree with zweii.
Most people are very ignorant(like me in poison's case :D) and always think that they are right.I don't mean just right but CORRECT.So even though tameem's explanation is logical about being based with izaya or what ever it is,most(Yep,the majority)of the fans are would say that he is just lying and i don't really understand why they would think that way.
I'll just assume that their emotions comes first than their mind.....

Edit:I forget to make a point about this yesterday.
"If you took DMC the game and literally translated that into a movie,it wouldn't really work"

Inafune, you ever heard of CGI MOVIES?
