Other than taking a shot at the "haters" what does that really have to do with what I said?

You said it seemed like he dodged the question. I said that it doesn't matter what he answered, because it wouldn't change anything. So dodging the question, being totally honest about it or lying - either way, it doesn't matter. The outcome will remain the same.

Edit:I forget to make a point about this yesterday.
"If you took DMC the game and literally translated that into a movie,it wouldn't really work"

Inafune, you ever heard of CGI MOVIES?

Why would a CGI movie make DMC's story line any better? Have you ever seen the Tekken cgi movie? It has the same type of cheesey storyline and over powered characters. But the only thing good about it was the CGI.

Ever heard of final fantasy advent children bro?Well if you're an FF fan you'll know what i'm talking about.
The point of inafune saying that is because of the character. The original dante isn't fit to do a real live-action movie because dante will look more ridiculous but he actually never thought that DMC is not that type.
Just look at FF.They also can't do a real live action movie of the game because it's not fit to do a movie like that but instead, a CGI movie which becomes highly successful to both the west and the east.
or...............................maybe i got a wrong interpretation of inafune's point?

I admit FF AV had great action and fight scenes but, come on, wtf were they talking about?

I guess this is what you're pointing out about the movie or what ever it is.
This is tameem speaking about inafune's suggestion:

"At the time inafune-san was at capcom and suggested an idea that we should hold on to - that if it was a movie release here in UK, or america, what would that movie look like? That defined the approach we took.Because if you took DMC the game and literally translated that into a movie,it wouldn't really work"

You can actually see that statement at the pictures in this thread.

Hmmm, sorta like regardless of what some fans have to say they will be labled as haters? I gotcha, it makes sense. Put people on the same boat and assume what people are thinking and reword what they're actually saying. Talk about dodging.

Hey, I'm just talking out of personal experience and from what I have seen on several gaming forums. That's just the way it is. Might sound judgemental, but there's a reason to why I made such a statement. I will gladly eat my words if proven wrong.

:shifty:
You seem upset.
I'm not. I really don't care if you agree or not. I just don't want to beat a dead horse. Yet you seem inclined to do it anyway. :shifty:

Well my question is why does DmC had to look like it can be made into a movie to be a success?
NO IDEA!! Sure DmC would have a better story, but thats up to everyones opinion, Really they should focus on atmosphere, enemy difficulty and exploration (with all the new traversal skills), combat and weapons. And if there is a upgrade system, that too.
If DmC is going to be anything like MGS then the story MUST be entertaining and it needs to draw u in. If your not gonna be watching cutscenes the whole time then their better be something for me to do.

And i don't think DmC or a DMC movie would be very good. Sure it would look awesome, especially if its all cgi, or animated. But from other video game movies that have been released..... um.....yea.. I honestly don't see how hard it is to make a video game into a movie. I think a lot of it is when its a movie you need to feel something for the character as some point by what the character projects on the screen, But for a VG, your in control and your already on a higher level of connection even before anything emotional was even shown.

Well my question is why does DmC had to look like it can be made into a movie to be a success?

I think by saying "like a movie" they mean that instead of DmC being awesome (only) in gameplay, they want to make it interesting as a story as well. After all that's what makes movies interesting most of all. The scenario. While games also have other stuff that makes them loved/appreciated. Not that movies do not have, but scenario/actors is absolutely essential.

It's more of an atempt to appeal to a western audience, you are welcome to disagree with it, I certainly do, but they, I'm guessing, don't know how else to approach it.

The notion that this is the look they thought that would be an appropriate film rendition, to the point that they want to make it an actual fim, seems right at first but franchises that have parallels from DMC aren't exactly failures. Under that logic films like Underworld, Final Fantasy, and the like would not exist.
