Nice interview. Thanks. ^^
I see so much potential in this for angry fans to pick at, but at least he is honest. But those pictures of him are rather unfortunate. XD

Wow. Could the interview be more biased toward DmC and NT? I mean seriously. He used out of context Internet comments are questions and dismissed them all as ridiculous before they were even answered. And NT has said that there are looking to beat Bayonetta gameplay wise. So now NT are just outright lying...

Were there any questions that he was asked that you wanted Tameem to further explain? Because i thought they all were kinda random ****ed off questions. I mean one of them actually was cursing in the question. As for Bayonetta, they did say it was their competition so i dunno why he said what he said. But i do like that he refuses to use Bayonetta as a reference for character development and story. I thought that was kinda funny.

aaaaaaaaactually alex jones is the one that said they are competing with bayonetta not tameem. so i guess tameem didn't feel that bayonetta is one of their competitors so he made that clear in this interview.

All due respect, a large chunk of the Anti-DmC camp takes that Bayonetta line out of context.
In relation to Bayonetta, Alex Jones said in an interview that they want to achieve "the same fluidity and control that's a standard... In some areas, we're competing with [Bayonetta]; in some areas, we're offering something different."

For one, any action game that comes out now will be compared to Bayonetta. It was the greatest action game I've ever played.

Second, given the question, what were they supposed to say?
Their only other option would be to say that they refuse to compete with Bayonetta in any fashion because they'll lose. That would only make things worse.

Third, DmC will be locked at 30 frames per second. That's not great compared to fighting games and not great compared to the classic series.
During fights, Bayonetta could run at an average of 50 fps in the XBox version and an average of 27 fps on the PS3 port.
It's a sign of a crappy port, no doubt; but it was still a better game overall than DMC4, even with the framerate issues.

I don't really doubt that NT and Capcom can at least compete with their combined efforts.

Depends on what you are talking as you could make the case that Dante was based of kamiya as kamiya made him to suit his preferences at the time.
but kamiya made dante personality wise he said to be "the perfect drinking buddy" and to be like an american rock star, if I remember correctly. and you got to admit he was, I don't think there's anybody who wouldn't have a blast getting sauced with dante, he'd probably drink you under the table and still be fairly sober.

LOFL at the big tits part. "I'd rather being laying my head in a set of them right now."

Not a bad interview. I got some questions answered from it. It seems they really plan to make an "actual" story into DMC. I don't know why Tameen said that they're not competing with Bayonetta when clearly they got a rivalry going on. Then again Alex Jones said they're competing, not Tameen. DmC running on 30fps is slowly seeming like a good/bad idea to me.

Good: Because now the story can get more interesting with the enviernment moving around, being evil and stuff. Not only that but fluid graphics and small details being put in that can make the game really shine.

Bad: Because Tameen said that some of their past games have had some Unreal Engine problems before, so I hope they work on that.

I sure hope he's right about characters being more real, because I actually didn't give a crap about any DMC character, including Dante, I just played the game.

I've also seen that NT got abit lazy saying they didn't want to work with MT framework since they were so use to Unreal Engine, so that's a bit of a let down, but pretty understandable. It's like "I've studied this Algebra 2 to make me successful in life, why bother take Calculus."

And Tameen apparently says he doesn't care if the game sells 2 million or not, but to simply be creative with the game. Nice.

It answered again my questions about unreal and MT framework.
and about competing with bayonetta, isn't alex jones was the only one who said that not tameem?
Neverthless,it's a nice interview and i give a damn of all characters in the old DMC series especially vergil. So for the characters being more real,i'm waiting for that.

I'm not saying YOU don't give a damn, I mean't I never really got emotional at DMC scenes that were suppose to be emotional. But yeah I agree with you.

Hmmmm.... "Blah, Blah, Blah...." Hmmmm... "Blah,Blaaah, Blahh."...Hmmm... "The people who've been testing this game say it's really responsive, and these are people who know DMC." MMMM!

Well, nice read. Nothing much to complain about, really.

Despite what he says I think DmC Dante is based off him.

I bet that's because they ARE ridiculous. Don't you think? This has nothing to do with bias. Those are random encounters with DmC-sceptics and I read that **** every day.

And NT has said that there are looking to beat Bayonetta gameplay wise. So now NT are just outright lying...
Source or it didn't happen.
I got the feeling that he dodged that question though. It read like he wanted to say: "We're not only trying to be better than Bayonetta. We're trying to be better than any action game out there.". Now that's attitude that I like to see.
