Pre-Gamescom Trailer

.................I for on found this trailer......well....I wasn't disapointed nor was I impressed.

It was a cool trailer and the stage didn't disappoint but it was just the same thing I've seen in all of the past trailers..literally the same weapons with the same combos but in a different scenery and the same platforming.......nothing new.

Ninja Theory

But the music was awesome probably the best shown thus far.
It's not the real trailer. It's just a teaser for Gamescom. Hence, "Pre-Gamescom."

I'm not disappointed by the trailer but the overall trailers.

I've literally only seen like 5 moves from each weapons(and in past games Dante has shown like 20+ moves per weapon) and this trailer he only shown off his 3 weapon combos no gun action.

If they showed more stuff now, there wouldn't be much to show at the right time. Plus if you were in their shoes, would you really want to show off new bad ass weapons on some messly pre-gamescom teaser?

We have seen new moves from these past trailers

2011 E3: The angel and demonic weapons first appearence
2011 Gamescom: We found out you can do Prop Shredder, Bulletstorm upward and dwonward.
2011 "the fight": You can do Drive again.
2012 Cpativate: We found out you can do Stinger and Million (Trillion) stab.
2012 E3: the charge move with the scythe.

We've seen a lot of new moves from the past trailers.

Did you notice that at 0:20 Dante seems to be standing on, or shrouded, by a light? you can notice it around him at 0:22 be quick about it though they go by pretty fast....anyone got any bright ideas about this?
To me it actually looks like the same animation from the club scene when it turns into Limbo. The light seems really off and that horrible camera angle made me laugh a little bit. I thought the music was cool, i just think the editing could of fit more around it. Its literally a recap of a single playthrough with combichrist playing in the background. If NT wanted to make another quick little trailer they should of made it like last years Gamescon gameplay trailer.
All in all, this crappy trailer isn't gonna make any difference in the long run, i still cannot wait to see whats going to happen at GC12

This trailer: nothing

They could've showed off some new Rebellion moves like Dance Macabre or some combos or showed off the guns some more or some new Osiris and Arbiter moves.

The point of a teaser trailer is to tease us into wanting more but I'm more afraid of getting less based on this.

Plus the main problem is how the platforming looks so simple...well its still an improvement over past DMC games platforming but it at least made up for it for having puzzles and obstacles this DmC seems to be focusing on giving us challenges but from what I've seen this stage doesn't look challenging at all compared to the NightClub. All it is is pull in platforms and be pulled into platforms...the only challenge is not falling off.........at least the Night Club stage utilize the demon stomp to advance in the stage because constantly pulling out and being pulled in gets boring and repetitive.

Well, I'm hoping that they're only showing the same old things because it's pre-con and the rest of it is ether new matterial or plot driven because I'm not really inpressed with what I just saw.

Ditto.

What he said.

I'm not really impressed either, but it does look great still. Hopefully that trailer is meant for the playable demo.

A teaser is there to hint at new footage. This is straight up new footage. Your argument is therefore invalid. Whether it's fair or not is irrelevant, since the trailer would still have to be well edited and showing exciting new stuff, which, in my opinion at least, it fails to do.

Edit: I also noticed, that they put in Lock-On marks, so you can see what is in your auto-lock. Could mean that they are really reaching the phase, where it's simply "Put in everything we haven't put in yet. The foundation stands.".

Let's put it like this. NT has game play footage of the virility factory and they will be showing it at gamescom. This trailer can be considered as a teaser as Capcom/NT is simply giving us a preview of what's in store for gamescom, right?

This trailer: nothing
Showing off new enemies, environments and polished graphics is hardly 'nothing'.

This trailer didn't blow me away like the other trailers, but it is only a teaser for gamescom. But it still got me pumped, the music was awesome! (It reminded me of the music from the first trailer). I'm really excited to see what NT and Capcom have for us at Gamescom ^_^

The Virility is before the club so it's easier to prepare you for other areas. Not every platforming stage is gonna be hard at the beginning.

If the point of a teaser is to make us want more, then what's the point of a full trailer? Teasers are that little poke while trailers are the ones that make you want more..

i cant wait until i see what else well see. i think this clip is more to get people hyped up for whats to come :D
im hoping for some more information about the scope of moves we get. no more level stuff. i was sold there in the e3 trailer. i want them to show us what kind of combos we can use e.g. using guns, melee, advantages of angel/ demon dodge.

and for the record im against them showing Vergil in a trailer. as that kind of thing should be left for the game to reveal in a preferebly dramatic and very awesome way

Why? We already know he'd be there so there's no point to it been a surprise.

Anyway, maybe you'll get lucky and they'll release materials early.

Those fire and ice demons I already saw them as screen shots in the Night Club stage, I've seen many images of the Japanese DmC Capcom web page for the Virility factory and a lot of the footage seen in this trailer I've seen in past images and trailer, and polish graphics.....ok you get that one....but I don't care if its a teaser I'm still disappointed. A lot of the past trailers some of which were teasers had showed off something interesting or new. I've seen many gameplay trailers and etc and this one does nothing but replay everything I already saw(same weapons, same combos, and nothing interesting) but it does show how they improved the graphics and all the little stuff.

From what I saw in this so call teaser trailer the Virility stage platforming looks well bland, pull in and be pulled into platforms and try not to fall off....
hes-not-impressed_c_154479.jpg

I at least figured the Virility factory would be creative with its platforming like the Night Club stage.
