Pre-Gamescom Trailer

Baby yeahhh! This factory stage kinda reminded me of Silent Hill's otherworld which is awesome! Now, I want to see MOAR WEAPON!
 
Something about the new trailer bugs me. It seems that the traversal mechanic is simply "pull object towards Dante" and "pull Dante towards object". I hope that they improve on this. It could be like if you pull the wrong floating platform, that platform would come flying towards Dante, take out some of his health or maybe even knock him off the platform he's standing on, and then the wrongly pulled platform or the entire puzzle would reset itself.

Anyway, the trailer was good and I can't wait to see what's in store for Gamescom.

i also i had an idea for the environment to be more interactive. dante could pull platforms towards himself, and then when dante jumps onto the platforms they could pull themselves away from him. kinda like what we saw on the street gameplay when dante pulls out that first platform and it goes back inside the building. almost like the platform is resisting dante.

Yea, I wish DmC has stuff like that. The platform could simply retract and the player has to react quickly or else he'll fall to his death, fall into a pit of enemies or just fall back to square one, like that god damned spinning cube level in DMC3 but that was predictable.

I had this idea for quite a while - How about Dante playing tug of war with the platforms? That would confirm who's the strongest :)

well i mean we've barely seen any of the platforming so perhaps it will increase in difficulty like ideas we have mentioned.
 
Woah, awesome! I should've been awake the last night, too, so I would've been able to see this trailer sooner. ;-D
But honestly, this looks so great! I want to run around as Dante there, fighting and platforming! Good trailers make you feel that way. :lol: Can't wait to see more stuff surfacing! :D
 
well the did say the where going to get as much feedback from e3 as they can so beside argueing as fans we kinda improved on it more just imagine if the had no why of feedback im sure the game would seem less hardcore.

seems like the right music and pacing does the game well i hope dante gets some more base moves the osiris combo's are kinda getting old. I know for sure rebellion has alot more moves the can channel.
 
WOW wow wow wow WOW! It's great to have new gameplay footage.. saw some hand to hand combat with Dante and the Virility factory is fun to look at! but hopefully we get a story trailer!...? :D Can't wait to see what they have in store for us

EDIT: My bad... there was no hand to hand combat... Dante's hands just lit up when in Demon stance and he still had the axe. sorry about that
 
not if like nero. he had rapid button tapping moves it isnt the same as QTE's
The thing is that Nero's moves will go through regardless of whether you continuously tap the button or not. The tapping only amplifies the damage dealt by Nero. In the case of a tug of war, one side must lose so it HAS to be a QTE.
 
Wow... That's like the worst trailer so far. Music is ****, new footage looks bland and what the hell did they do to the camera (0:55)?
Who would mess up the damn CAMERA SETTINGS in a trailer???
Seriously NT, please fix this, I won't support slacking. Not so close to release.

Edit: Okay, the overall look infuriated me, but combat still looks nice. I hate how he dodges AFTER the attack supposedly hits him though.
