Well, I know it looks the part but DmC is more like a mix of DMC4 and Bayonetta in many respects. It's hard to explain but when you get your hands on it you'll see what I mean. You caould say it's more sophisticated version of DMC4, if that makes sence.Well this trailer was a fun little ride. The game play still reminds me of DMC2 with a DMC4 twist to it. But it looks cool.

Those fire and ice demons I already saw them as screen shots in the Night Club stage, I've seen many images of the Japanese DmC Capcom web page for the Virility factory and a lot of the footage seen in this trailer I've seen in past images and trailer, and polish graphics.....ok you get that one....but I don't care if its a teaser I'm still disappointed. A lot of the past trailers some of which were teasers had showed off something interesting or new. I've seen many gameplay trailers and etc and this one does nothing but replay everything I already saw(same weapons, same combos, and nothing interesting) but it does show how they improved the graphics and all the little stuff.
From what I saw in this so call teaser trailer the Virility stage platforming looks well bland, pull in and be pulled into platforms and try not to fall off....
I at least figured the Virility factory would be creative with its platforming like the Night Club stage.
nice way of putting it. so in other words there better be new weapons at gamescom!I think the problem with many people, or at least for me, lies in the fact that all that they have been showing lately are levels. "Why not just give us all the levels why doncha?" sort of mentality.
Showing a new weapon would have been a lot more interesting at this point. Heck, I would have probably preferred to see a new weapon on a level that we have already seen... as long as we can see Dante pulling off some new cool moves and fighting differently against enemies. All I see here is just "you can push and pull stuff!" and my response to that is "ok, we get it... we've gotten this since the first demo you guys showed."
I don't really like spoilers. Moves aren't spoilers, plot and the plot that comes with the levels are. It's not like anyone will see a move and say "Omg, now that they have shown this move I don't feel like buying this game because they spoiled it for me." No, if anything, it will make more people want to get the thing because they can see that you have a wide variety of things you can do while playing with Dante.
But, say, a casual gamer, who doesn't know there are going to be a bunch of weapons besides the ones that are shown, were to watch an old trailer and then watch a new one he/she would probably say "ok, so he's got a scythe, a sword, an axe, a whip, and he does the same thing everywhere he goes... boring..."
Dude its not difficulty its creativity the Night Club was very creative and they put a lot of thought into it this just seems so basic and simple.Dude. I just said the factory comes before the club, so obviously this one's easier before the harder locations.

What puzzles??? All I see is pulling and being pulled into.Well it showed off puzzles and the orb system. Even showed off how large the environments can and will be. So it promises more exploration in this game.

What I'm not understanding is how people were so hyped for Ninja Gaiden 3 when it only showed one weapon the trailers and HAD 1 weapon. Now they complain about the 3 first weapons of DmC?
That's my thoughts exactly. But the thing is, Ninja Gaiden didn't get a reboot in looks or style. so people naturally knew there would be more attacks and new weapons in it. DmC is parallel to DMC, so people have no idea about what's to come.
Son, Devil May cry trailers never showed off multiple weapons. It's like a spoiler kind of thing. Because you're going to be guessing which enemy will give you this or that weapon.
Actually, DMC trailers do the same as DmC trailers in terms of weapons. DMC3 showed off two new weapons; Cerberus (nunchucks) and Agni and Rudra. (Schimars) Along with E&I and Rebellion, that's all. Same with the attacks, DMC3 and DMC4's trailers with Dante showed the same attacks over and over again and nothing new until the actual story trailer. DmC doesn't want to spoil everything just because fans want it, that would be too easy. They'll probably save that for a story trailer.
Also a second note; DMC3's trailer didn't have a story trailer. It was just gameplay mixed with small cutscenes and diolague. No story was said until I actually got the game. DMC4 told story about what's going on, but by the time you got the game you expected more from the game since the trailer told you so much, only to find out the trailer pretty much spoiled everything and you already know the whole story of the game.
Now, we've already been promised the shotgun.
What I wanna see are more abilities that Dante has or that can be purchased.
I'm rooting for Gamescon to reveal only the shotgun and another pair of demon and angel weapons and explains how you can switch between gun, demon, and angels weapons using the D-pad(I guess in angel mode you can switch angel weaons, demon mode demon weapons, and normal mode gun weapons) while Rebellion still remains the star of them of all. There were no puzzles.
More abillities will probably come in either gamescom or TGS.
Simple, it's not really the official trailer. This is just a preview for what they are going to show at Gamescom. Also, the camera "bug" was awful, how the hell did they let it slip for an offical trailer?
It's still official footage, it's not like famitsu has the game and captured it themselves.Simple, it's not really the official trailer. This is just a preview for what they are going to show at Gamescom.

Also, it's a horrible preview. So what, we're seeing more spoilers and nothing new on combat at gamescom?
If this kind of thing appears on official footage, just imagine when you're playing the game.
The lock-on may be missed after all...
