It's ridiculous out there for NT and Tameem.

Let me show you what I mean and why I mean it. It's completely up to you on how you view these quotes.

Kojima considered bringing it (MGR) to a western developer, and jokes about returning to a North American developer a year later to find the katana replaced by "a gun with a chainsaw, or something."

-Result for Kojima; No outrage.

“But in terms of, ‘Do I think it’s cool?’ No, not at all. I think it’s caricatured and over-the-top and very ‘Japanesey,’ and for that absurd style it does that really well, but that’s not what I want.”

-Result for Tameem; Outrage.

Like I said about the MGR vs DmC war, it was a huge mindf***.

With this people don't even care about the reasoning or context. Detractors boiled everything down and twisted words (even claiming words have different definitions!) so it can justify their outrage.

Each have their own honest opinion. I find both Kojima's and Tameem's honest. For the outrage part? I think people can't handle an opinion different from theirs...
Take it from me. I keep (figuratively) shutting my doors and windows from others' opinions as they didn't even matter to me as my opinion is the only thing that matters!

Yeah it's a common problem with people. I've actually stated this commonly dull issue in numerous post here. All in all, it's a age long problem with all of us especially with the emergence of the internet. "My opinion only matters!" Like i've said, many times (hell, even most), people are just douches and retards (that includes all of us here, we have those moments, let's be honest here). Best to ignore it and not feed the trolls. The only it gets SERIOUS is if people start being ridiculous like marching up the establishments with torches and pitchforks (and molotovs for the badass effect  ).

To be fair, I think the outrage more or less came from the fact that Tameem was handling a game in a Japanese series, and yet he still insulted Japanese media.

I do admit the hate he got for it was uncalled for, but it was criticizable to say the least

He didn't insult Japanese media >.>

He gave his own opinion, while actually complimenting it; "I don't like this personally, because of these reasons - which it does very well."
To be fair, you can't say a word like 'Japanesey' WITHOUT insulting Japanese media

But again, the amount of threats and outrage from the statement was uncalled for

But that's not an insulting term at all. It's a broad, all-encompassing word, but it isn't an insult. It's not even wrong; Japanese media is known for its stylistic, melodramatic, and over-the-top elements.

I'm just saying.

Kojima wasn't handling a game in a Western series. He was handling a game in his own series, a JAPANESE ONE.
Of course the same back lash isn't to be expected.

Where does Kojima come from? Metal Gear Solid takes so much inspiration from western films and culture more than anything. Kojima loves our movies.
Our movies, yes.
But most of our A list games don't really share the same feel to them as our movies.

And the western AAA market is pretty much sh!t. I stick to indie games and older titles more than anything.
NO WAY! Haven't you played CoD multiplayer

The intelligent debates that totally aren't pre pubescents cursing at eachother through the mic
The intense gameplay that TOTALLY isn't composed of camping and spawnkilling
the amazing features that TOTALLY aren't recycled from previous CoD's

Let's not forget IW's definition of innovation;

-more detailed pubis (still ****ty, though)
-dog, which plays out like a UAV.
-a brand new mode, which plays like Zombies but only this time it features Aliens.
