Ninja theory not alone in gameplay department

The reason I ask is because there's this guy who says that the first time he saw the trailer he knew just by looking at the guy that he was Dante, nothing trew him off, not the hair, not the body build, not the new outfit. He claims that as soon as he saw him he was 'hey, it's Dante.' He also told me that everyone he knows claimed the same thing but I honestly don't belive him but I thought I'd ask if anyone here also recognized him and give the guy the beneffit of the douth.

And who is this guy? Someone on this forum?

Nah, diferent forum, another DMC one.

I doubt he KNEW it was Dante, but maybe he thought it could be him and then it turned out to be him.
In the first trailer, when we see Dante fight those marionette doll demons, that was when I thought "Hey, is that Dante?"...

When I first saw the trailer, I thought "Capcom is gonna sue the living hell outta these guys." ("My name's Dante." ) WTF?!!!

My was Different one. I thinked this is bad joke for once, but from now I supporting reboot, fresh restart is good if it still same thing what we know from past games.
(Ps. My reaction was: " Where to **** is Dante ?!!)

My first reaction was kinda like the picture. Now I like it:D

I was reminded of DMC when he put the cigarette out on dude's head, and i pretty much knew it was dante when he pulled out ebony and ivory and the trickster dash... after that, i had no clue what the f**k was going on with the whip, and throwing cars and all the craziness to follow, but i was very surprised and excited to see a new dmc game

I will admit the first time I saw the trailer I said, "God I hope this is not Dante", and at the end of the trailer when he said my name is Dante my heart kinda sunk lol.

I just did not like the whole druggy punk look he had.

It is nice that NT has since than improved on his appearance in a MAJOR way.

I wonder how much difference it'd make even if NT is not doing the gameplay alone.
Tbh, what's shown so far didn't give me the feeling of DMC. Gameplay looks slow [slower in DT ;)] and we can also see the 'string' of bullets. Enemy step is missing (no efforts required to remain in the air). I'm still unable to understand their statement of this game @30FPS givin' a feeling of 60FPS! Though DmC gameplay looks cool but not DMC cool, IMO.

Just will have to wait and see how their combine effort in the gameplay section turns out to be.

Sorry for spinig off topic there, I was just curious since the guy was so addiment about claiming that the new design is so similar to the old Dante that he could tell just by looking and him and not having to be told or second guess. I don't see it.

Quick question, did everyone here know it was Dante the first time they saw him back on the TGS 2010 reveal trailer? That the boy hanging from the chains was in fact Dante, or even when they first showed him in the fight?

@ Cool D- In responce to the concept art, you know it's pretty common place to not show concept art for a game for a long time and often first drafts are never seen. In this case NT and Capcom might want to keep it under wraps so as to not get people more angry and demanding to know why they didn't go with this or that rather than what it is now. Better to wait till after the game is released to show that to the public. Even then, we'll only see a few of the designs, they said they had hundreds and so yo9u'd need and entire artbook dedicated just to that.
All i am saying is that i won't believe Ninja theory or Capcom's word until i see the designs arts. I have agreed to Asmo when he said "Maybe they aren't allowed" meaning i understand it. I guess we will have to wait then.

@ Berto
I thought "He must be Dante" but when i saw more and more (spoking, punk hair etc) i thought "This guy is just a new character".

Well, like there are extremists on the hating side, so are there on the supporting side.
Either way, such people are unreliable and are just trying to buff up either side, pitching people against one another and such. I don't buy it either that he was 100% sure that it was Dante at the first look he set on the trailer, but I don't doubt that he might had thought that it could be him.

Who you talking about Berto?

This dude from the Devil's Lair forums, Jackpot90. He's huge pro-DmC but claims to be unbias, don't ever bother trying to get in an argument with the guy, he's too literal and doesn't understand methafores or figures of speach so he tends to get hung up on every little thing.

Does anyone think Dante sounds like he's slobbering or has starbust in his mouth when he's talking about "Demons are everywhere" or is it just me?

I heard it too! I think he's probably laughing or moving funny while speaking making his speech slur. It makes it sound more realistic than enunciating every syllable into a microphone. Remember, this was performed by an actor (probably Hayden Christensen) in real time on a stage.
