New DmC Trailer

Hey is it cool if i ask you this question and its whether or not a redesign was needed?

I'm not sure if it was needed, but let me put it like this. In my opinion, DMC2 Dante was the best looking Dante of them all. DMC4 Dante was the worst. However, since this is a reboot (stated by the developers themselves), I think it is great that they are rebooting Dante's design as well to fit into this "new" world of DMC. So in a way, I think it was needed, yeah.

But as I said, I do like the past Dante's looks. I just like this look as well.

its not that neccesary to change his look but i would change others and i would try to flesh him and others out more as character's rather than icons.
Depends on the scenario, because if i had to do something were he and vergil as kids and living with a uncle i would change them a bit.

Since it's reboot it's OK to change the look, and should look a bit like the old Dante. But when you give him this look (below here) that is supposed to look a bit like the orginal Dante??? That look they gave him is one ugly look!

He looks much better in the first trailer than the second one, and even better with black hair than white hair with red lips ..

Its gameplay not a cutscene. besides the gamplay is being worked on

But still this new look is much worse than the first one...

I agree.

And here I thought I was the only one that noticed that Dante looked even more worse then he did in the initial trailer.

I mean really, that mohawk like haircut just screams lame.

Yeah, really. It's not done yet, the trailer even said so. So wait till they've got a finished model to judge.

My point exactly. I feel like people here are too eager to judge the game and make some bad comments about it whenever they get the opportunity. It's rather sad, really.

Some people yes, but most people are just skeptical. I think it's best to respect the other's opinion, even if it's not 100% right. Because opinions are just that, opinions. We don't have to claw at each other's throats like a pack of newborn kits, do we?

Of course it isn't, darkslayer. Now stop saying that, you have no right to have that opinion!!! ;P

On a serious note though, I can understand why people are sceptical, but to claw at the graphics of some game footage of an unfinished game? That's on the edge of being desperate to find something to bitch about. Of course, that is just my opinion.

what more do u want them to do? they give a trailer and people bitch and bitch and bitch. So they change it AND put in a way where he can look similar to his old iconic self and what happens? people continue to bitch and bitch and bitch. Nothing is ever good enough. Truth is, this game was doomed to be judged so harshly by fanboys before any trailer was going to be released and it didn't even matter who was going to develop it. If 2K did it or Insomniac, there would be the same reaction and no one would be satisfied, same as they are now.

Woah calm down dude.

As I said before untill they give me something not to "bitch" about I am going to continue to whether anyone likes it or not.

And yea they changed him from the initial trailer but the thing is they changed him for the worse and not the best. He looks even lamer then he did in the initial trailer and giving him white hair and red coat (and red lips) is not going to erase the fact that he still looks like some euro trash rocker punk wanabe.

And whats wrong with being a "fanboy" of the previous established DMC formula and characters?

And can you read minds?
Or better yet have you been reading our posts at all?
I mean........ Your saying that it would not matter who developed it because we would still be mad and yet most of my posts around the forum has said otherwise.
Personally I would rather Platinum Games to handle this game as I have pointed out in the previous topic but If NT can actually make a great DMC game then I am all for it. Its just that so far NT has not won me over with the lame trailers and lame Dante redesigns.

Bottom line is I could care less who makes this DMC game as long as they atleast retain some respect for the series and not F*&k up one of my favorite franchises ever so please in the future don't be so quick to judge people and basically call us whiney fanboys who will never be satisified with anything.

Excuse me? No opinion is going to be 100% right because they are only opinions. You're basically saying the people who think one way aren't right, but they should be respected regardless. For goodness sakes DT you are sooooo mean! WAAAAAAAAH! ;)

Ur opinion is that he is a euro trash punk wanabe. Some people (myself included) dress and look like that, so lighten up with the insults. I don't go around calling old dante some weak goth faggot who is afraid to break a nail. All that i'm saying is that Capcom wanted a redesign and told NT wat they wanted. Whoever developed the game would have to do this change to the "established DMC formula and characters" so that would have happened regardless. And yes I have read the posts in the other thread and like it or not, it was very arrogant of Platinum to say, just because they have experience with a game like Bayonetta. In fact, it's so outlandish, it wouldn't be right for any company to say that. And yes, I have a feeling the fanboys would complain if any other company besides Platinum Games made it. Team Ninja would be another good company to take over. But guess what, it's not going to change. Capcom is not changing their minds, this is what they want to do with the franchise. Believe it or not, most gamers like to have a fluid story. This is now Devil May Cry, get used to it.
