He does look younger than Dante, however, if it is Vergil, it might be him as he was just before he was turned into Nero Angelo - when he was brainwashed by Mundus. After Nero Angelo's defeat, perhaps somehow part of him returned to Earth in the form of Nero - a fairly young version of Vergil, who would not remember Dante? Almost as if this 'Nero' is the essence of Vergil that remained, but he still doesn't remember. I dunno. Just a bit weird how he has white hair, a long coat, and is called Nero.

What if capcom decided to design both Vergil & Dante look younger than they actually are so they don't look too old in our eyes after playing DMC3
BTW are u sure it happens before DMC2?

Well if you look at the pics of Dante in the scans, you can see he does look quite old, well as far as I can see. Got a bit more podge to his face and looks a bit aged around the eyes. Whereas Nero is looking fresh-faced and a bit smoother. Perhaps thats just my imagination. It wouldn't surprise me though if they don't make Dante super old, to satisfy people who liked him younger.

I've made this JPG for anyone who's confused about which is which:

Nero wears a dark blue / black coat. Dante wears his red coat. As far as I can see... those pictures of Dante make him look certainly older than Nero, but he's not wrinkly or anything.

I think they look fine.

I can't see Nero's blue coat though. Looks black from here.

Hey Dante doesn't look that old....there r no close up pics... in most of the pics he's looking the other way or something like that....to me Dante & Nero look the same age....Dante just looks a bit serious,that's all...and Nero also looks a bit withered from time to time

With these close-ups of Nero in action, I don't care anymore. I am pumped to pick him along with Dante, that's fine with me! BOOYAHZ. But I would prefer it if you can pick Dante as well.

Further notes on the text. It says Nero's right arm can be used to grab hold of enemies from a distance afar and drag them closer.
