He's skipping a lot of the cutscenes. Those are what interest me, so sadly I'll have to stay in the dark for awhile longer.Go ahead,I think the guy is still playing

Huh, I really disagree.Saw the stream too. I'm being honest. Story, character, setting, enemy, gameplaywise. This could possible be the best DMC game so far. The last 10 mission put me on the edge of my seat. Lot of great performances, emotion, and character depth. Even from Eva who now has a role into the story. I guess I can say that the boss are the downside in DmC, but I really enjoyed Vergil's boss fight (He was actually more difficult than on the other video).
tl;dr opinionsHuh, I really disagree.
The story really wasn't too much to write home about I felt. It was pretty cliche and very predictable. It was a standard "you have to save the girl Dante." and Vergil's betrayal was done in a very hamfisted approach. It doesn't even really make sense, they barely talk about the situation like actual people but instead go straight to stabbing each other. The ending scene of "I DON'T KNOW WHO I AM." was trite when DMC4 did it and it hasn't gotten better with time.
The "go against authority" theme is also VERY hamfisted. I mean really, having human swat teams be shooting at surrendering prisoners? Almost as if the game was shouting "LOOK, LOOK HOW EVIL AUTHORITY IS!".
It doesn't help that Dante's voice actor did a horrible job. Half the time it sounds like Dante is falling asleep. He sounds so unengaged and detached, almost emotionless. Just listen to the boss fight with Golem-Mundus. I can't entirely blame him though. It's a difficult task of making the poorly written dialog in this game sound good.
The levels were really cool though, they were inventive and pretty memorable. I especially liked the Fo-- I mean Raptor News segment.
But the enemies were really unmemorable, and most of them could be beaten by abusing the floaty combat or doing demo dodge and then crushing them with instant SSSENATIONAL damage. The bosses were poorly handled too I think. They're very gimmicky, it's normally just dodge their big attack and then attack them do the boss gimmick, or do the boss gimmick then attack them. For example, you dodge the Slurm Queen's swipe attack, then hit her a bit and pull down the thing. You smash the red things on the ground and then pound on the Raptor News guy for a bit. Mundus is very underwhelming, being almost a repeat of the Slurm Queen. The bosses rarely, if ever had you interact with them, constantly dodging and deciding when to attack, dodging again and learning their movesets.
Vergil is a very far cry from his old self. He doesn't even use most of his attacks until he's almost dead, and the fight loses all fluidity by throwing in-game cinematics in the mix. Half the time he just stands there, waits for you to beat on him for a bit before teleporting away. DMC3 Vergil was fast and his fights were very fluid because he was almost always on your back. It really would've been cool if he helped you when Kat was doing the self-destruct sequence. Then maybe it would've carried more weight when you had to fight him at the end.
Vergil as a character in the plot is also useless most of the time and has to be constantly saved by Dante.
Dunno, the game really fell flat for me in a lot of the aspects you listed.
Well of course it's opinions, they're coming out of my mouth and I specifically used wordings like "I felt" and "For me". Thought we could have a discussion.tl;dr opinions

I got a Alice Madness Returns vibe from alot of these stages, they were cool but not cool enough to be a selling point. The levels were really cool though, they were inventive and pretty memorable. I especially liked the Fo-- I mean Raptor News segment. But the enemies were really unmemorable, ... DMC3 Vergil was fast and his fights were very fluid because he was almost always on your back.

I think I really noticed it when he got in Limbo before going into the Raptor tower, around when he meets Phineas. It really got bad during the last 2 hours or so.I didn't think so at first but this is true.
I first realized it when I saw the clip where he opens the door to his trailer to meet Kat but the clip I saw had the Sound FX and music removed and he sounded like he was reading out loud rather than performing. I saw a few more like that and they all just made it worse.
I agree that DMC1's SSS was very easy. It usually just mattered how many punching bags you have. But DMC3/4 you had to kind of work to get SSS and keep your style up. In DmC you can get it instantly after a demon dodge. As far as the SSStylish goes... for me it really doesn't bother me.
I'm really use to DMC1... and in that, I can get an instant Stylish with 1 charged move. That's all it takes. So, for me it'll actually be harder to get a single 'S' in DmC.
Can't really say anything else until I've seen the full game for myself.
I think that's one of the game's biggest flaws. I agree, Darksiders was forgettable but I enjoyed it. I would've really disliked it if it was a DMC sequel though. This game is just not Devil May Cry. I probably would've enjoyed it had it been a random game in a different franchise like Darksiders. After I saw the game it occurred to me that this game, were there no DMC in existence would be good, it'd sell, it get fans, and it'd get high marks, but it would just fall in with the other Darksiders and Dante's Infernos in to the pile. It just doesn't have, to me, the appeal that made the original what it is.
Try giving DMD mode a spin. I'd like to know how difficult it is.Just finished Heaven or Hell..only unlockable Hell and Hell...now who beats that and DMD :/
All right man.I sleep now..when i wake up i'll start again

The leaked files from the demo had a file called 'stasis gun' and I can't help but think that they removed it from Kablooey.I watched a stream myself.
And I'm really disappointed with the weapons. Especially Kablooey, which was the one weapon that I thought would have extremely amazing potential in terms of it's use. I do see some Calibur usage for Aquila.
Maybe Calibur > Osiris > Calibur > Osiris. I'd really love someone to mess around with Calibur when the full game is out.

DMD should be the hardest, but I can't say for sure in this game.Is hell & hell the hardest or DMD?
