How does DmC look between 10' and 12'?

You know what I mean, Sieghart. The fans who consider only themselves as the fans and who troll us because we aren't the real fans and there fore could never be true fans in series that can only be appreciated by real fans.

lol yeah.Fanboyism is such a world wide phenomenon in the internet.

Which old Dante? DMC 1 Dante wasn't all that shallow. DMC 2 was dark so it came with his personality. DMC 3 and 4 were the shallow ones.

This Dante, on the other hand, just seems to be a jack@$$ all around. He goes up to a guy and smacks his drink out of his hand with the justification that it'll "kill" him. One- liners are one thing, but this is just outright rudeness. Not to mention his comment on the church he broke out of, like that was necessary, or even the fact that he attracts attention himself despite his superior telling him not to do so.
well Dante doesn't just smack the can out of the dudes hand for no reason... the guy was drinking Virility, that drink that has a poster of it with the male model. Dante says "it'll kill you" because obviously it will since in the beginning of the trailer we hear some guy (most assume he's Virgil) say "...Kat knows where's the Virility factory, she will be your guide" so obviously we can infer that the drink really IS bad since both Kat and Dante are going to the factory to destroy it, thus, giving reason to why Dante smacked the can out of that dude's hand :P

Your analysis convinces me. I like Dante in TGS2010 trailer very much, however the current change of personality makes me feel uncomfortable. Now he doesn't have too many characteristic traits that makes him distinct from old ones.
dude you gotta chill man take it easy we only have the captivate trailers that, lets be honest, added a few minutes of interesting stuff but didn't divulge anything deep about Dante. Look at it from a whole view. You had the ENTIRE DMC 3 to discern that that Dante was indeed a shallow character, is it fair or even a logical comparison if you judged the new Dante as being a shallow character based on a few minutes of trailers whereas you had an entire game to judge the DMC 3 Dante?

Umm...I think Jane Sweetbee is a girl.:ermm:

Saved his life? The dude's just going to go buy another one at the store, all Danny did is cost the guy a buck 25 and came off looking like a prick.

Yea, that Guy really needs another drink like he needs another roll on his neck. The fat Guy is lucky that Dante didn't whoop his ass for not getting out of kats way.

dude can be a unisex term.....i think
U also called her a man too. Hehe

I'm wondering if aspects of the tgs trailer are still in play and if the tgs dante and captivate dante are the same guy

Why? Was he been an a'hole? Did he give her dirty looks or call her names? Did he touch her? Hell to the no. That guy did nothing bad so if Dante had smaked him down not only would he be a prick he'd be a violent one at that. Sorry but slapping that can out his hand like it was cool wasn't, even if he made out to be that it was for fat boy's own good.

I was thinking the same thing. Dante has gone through many changes that a lot of people complained about. Its almost revolting. But, to me, all of the changes actually have changed for the good. Like his appearance is different from last year at tgs. The most obvious change is the lighting. Dante looks more, dunno, the word but, better would be the word i will use. This game is going to be very gorgeous and shiny and plently of detail that UR3's engine can possibly have. Remember batman AC? beautiful. especially on a huge tv with loud speakers. mind blowing. (the sound in DmC is amazing and is very bass driven. I always thought Dubstep would be great in this game)

Another change is the combat. I think thats where Capcom helped NT at the best and they've been saying this the whole time. The game looks very fluid to me, the animations are way more detailed than tgs but the double jumps and enemy steps and switching weapons shown at Captive gives you a sense of depth that was so familiar, for me, in dmc.

The story, or what ever it was, has.. i guess, changed? More so Dante's personality, but i don't see it all that way. TGS2010 had Dante looking very unstable and hated the sight of demons and was throwing cars at them for no obvious reason. Hopefully there was noone in the car because what dante does in limbo effects the real world. And now, since recently, Dante is ..... well, Dante again. I guess DMC3 is the most people compare it too. But i thought dmc3 dante was a little to silly for me. I thought dmc4's dante was funnier though, but he was on another level of weird to me. funny but weird. And neoDante at Captive, in his birthday suit, whoopin ass everywhere was a little weird to me at first too, but the narration of Dante is where i think most of his Personality will evolve. I think this Dante is funny as hell. The writer for this game has the right idea of being very dry with the humor and when to not be serious and over the top. Its cool to be, i just hope the darker areas of the story remain, especially the interrogation parts.

And now the DT, which was shown last year and hasn't been seen since. Is it going to be like regular NT? Will the enemies just stay on the ground when it happens? or will it not change at all? Who knows, i don't care really. I thought at first i was going to have to learn something new and figure out how to use it. But i think the DT would of gone through some changes, i just don't know what. Hopefully since everything else NT has been doing seems like a step in the right direction, maybe, just maybe the DT will be improved as well

I'm not trying to be serious about dante slappin a can from someone that will eventually be a victim of virility drink.

The fat guy was downing the soda first of all and would of walked right through Kat, if she would of stood in his way. And Dante, being a man, could of just asking the guy to say "excuse me" but instead, after the mysterious voice tells him to go and destory the virility factor, he just knocks the soda out his hand. Dante isn't going to side step to anyone. ANd if i;m in control of Dante, i'm going to kick anyone's arse who happen to give me a bad feeling or anything. So if Dante ,nonchalantly ,slapped a can out of the fat guys hand, he, at the least, tried to save this guys life. His life is over. This NPC will continue to walk around with a can of virility for all eternity. While Dante kills only demons while protecting the humans.

Well I'm also a sort of guy who frowns on smokes and canned drinks..I guess it's some sort of act of sympathy that Dante could only do. Yes I know it's sort of annoying but I think It's a better pill than a lousy lecture of how soda is bad for your health.
(Terrorists smacking your soda out of your hand HAS to have a large impression in your life I say)

It's cause he's raw like that.

I guess you could say that the dante in tgs trailer is at a younger age than the dante in the captivate one. The tgs one could be Dante at 16-17 while the captivate one is him at 18-19.

I was wondering if you could do that car throwing thing in the game itself. I hope he has a cooler DT and a actual demonic looking DT. Him getting white hair and a red jacket isnt that impressive.

and he seems more fragile (mentally) ...that's very human
Yea I didn't like the change from 2010 to 12 because instead of doing what they are doing they decided to make a DMC 3 wannabe...where is the serious and darker Dante that was promised.... bunch of panzie's

now it is hardly to see any new personality that Dante has. i mean..i know he will grow up into a cool and strong man at the end. but what i want to see is what was behind him. TGS2010 is a more realistic interpretation of Dante's early years. He is pretty dirty in that one, homeless...wandering around...and hopeless. Now he looks like DMC3 Dante, including the way of speaking. It is a little bit shallow.

They caved in...like they saw how many people hated the first interpretation of Dante...they changed it so it would accommodate the fans...that is not sticking to their guns...they are just finding an excuse so people can like the game

ninja theory said from the beginning that dante would retain his personality and his character so i don't know people are complaining now that dante is showing his personality. they aren't backtracking to make a dmc3 clone this was apart of their plan, they've been saying this for some time now.
