I personally, aren't even going to vote. It's a sham and anything i vote for will be overruled by blind fanboyism.

Best Visual design really boiled down to Borderlands, Bioshock and The Last of Us to me. The other ones kind of fell by the wayside. I really liked the different look with Borderlands, but Bioshock really captured my attention.

And for best moment I chose Montenegro's speech on insanity. It made me think about other games and how they release the same thing over and over again (looking at sports games). Oh, Vaas, you are such a charming little b**tard. Then again, there were a lot of good scenes from the games mentioned...though I didn't understand the oculus rift thingy.

I also love this scene as well: 16:15 - 17:01
Plus there are many other moments and music in MGR that i enjoy.

I´d say visual design should go to Last OF Us. That game had amazing graphics.
 
The only reason I say NT should win is mostly because of all the sh*t they had to suffer through.

-Being in charge to reboot a loved series,

-Being in charge to not only make the visuals and characters but to create the whole game with Capcom only over looking them,

-Not knowing to shut up about being asked "if old Dante was cool or not", (which I honestly agree with Tameen)

-Having to be the ones to take the heat for capcom's decision,

-People accusing Tameen of putting himself in the game, (bullshit)

-The false rumors of the game,

-Vergil fans being ****ed,

-the 60FPS argument,

-no taunt argument,

-Dante's hair issue, and other things all while this game was coming out.

That's a lot of sh*t to go through and still able to make a game that sold pretty well given the circumstances. Yeah it sold less then the others, but at least it SOLD a large amount for a game with such baggage.

True, I also think their merits also count on why I think they should win. They started from a hardly noticed studio who didn't know sh*t on Hack n' Slashing, to a gaming development that's improved on their gameplay and has gotten a lot more fans and is really improving.

If there were was a category for that then i'm sure Ninja Theory would be in the running.

But... there isn't, so we'll be voting on overall merit which counting all of DmC's good parts still wouldn't make them a winner.

Visual Design is probably the best chance they have at winning an award and even THEN i don't think people will vote for it over some of the other candidates.
 
Sure games like The Last of Us looked good but it was just another drop in the bucket for post apocalyptic worlds after the downfall of civilization.

I like stuff that not only looks good but is also unique and creative. Which is why I would think of games like Blood Dragon, DmC, and Bioshock Infinite instead of something like The Last of Us.

And MGR doesn't do sh!t when it comes to great moments. Compared to all the other awesome moments the Metal Gear franchise has delivered, MGR doesn't even hold a f#cking candle to that stuff. I don't think MGR blew anyone's minds. Psycho Mantis for example was a goddamn mind blower back in the day when you played that for the first time. MGR should bury its head in shame.

My moment is Vaas's monologue. Vaas is one of the best video game characters in recent memory.

I liked MGR, but not as Metal Gear game. As hack'n'slash game probably.
And senator fight was realy cool. Far superior then anything in DmC.

He obviously thinks the Senator fight is ****, like the rest of the game and that's his right but i think quite a few people will disagree, not just limited to those posting in this thread or even those in this forum.

But even then i don't think MGR will win anyway, Farcry 3's Definition of Insanity will win simply because:

A: It's actually really damn good
B: Because memes.

But seriously, can the underdog have a chance to win here? And by underdog I mean anything that isn't COD for once. (Probably not but I still have hope, no matter how far it's dwindled.)

Actually considering the games in GOTY, i'd not be surprised if GTA V hasn't already won >_>

With the Metal Gear franchise pretty much being my favorite video game series of all time MGR was just ok and disappointed me. It should have been better. And of course you people think P* is the best thing since sliced bread so DmC doesn't do anything right. *shrugs*
