i posted that before i saw your ideas DDT... I very much like the concepts but I think the DT should be just Dante's natural form... It could take elements of all the ideas you made there... But even if I keep it as the universal DT... I LOVE your Rage DT idea... awesome idea man... THAT would look different and would be INCREDIBLY vicious!! It would outdo even Desperation Devil Trigger & would be very animalistic!!!

The DT chnages with the styles.NICE.That saves much trouble for the weapons. And makes it even more unique. How about, each level added to a style, also makes the DT "evolve" a bit?And about the upgrade system.I think we should seriously ditch the proud souls and stick to the DMC3 system for style leveling and use some other way to level weapons.Like Great demon essence.[i just thought and i have no idea about it.It could work like golden scarbs from ninja gaiden, but it will power weapons up] or,find materials to strenghten Dante's weapons.

btw, since we got the 5 styles for Dante and his new features, Demon Focus (I changed the name back), Rage Devil Trigger, & Grab/Special Attacks, what are your thoughts on a new feature for Nero?

Instead of giving Nero styles and a "stand" type of DT[Though we will probably have a proper one],how about giving him "dominance".At first he can channel the souls of demons through his devil bringer(s) when a demon drops it's after it's defeated. Also when he grabs an enemy he should be able to copy an ability and use temporalily from his DB(s).How does that sound?

One thing I will have in my story is Dante showing off a lot more of his strength, like when he blocked a punch from the Savior or when he effortlessly glided through the Bianco Angelos to "touch" the Savior. I noticed in Bayonetta, she displays her strength a lot more than Dante, I will have him assert a lot more authority instead of just playing around. Nero will have matured considerably but still be a hothead compared to Dante, Nero runs off emotion more than Dante whereas Dante knows how strong he is and shows it off with incredibly feats.

Also, Dante AND Nero will have lots more epic/huge enemies to really give a feel of how epic it all is and how strong they are. Nero will REALLY show off his Devil Bringer and Dante... well you all know how much he is my favorite character and I will write it to show his full potential.

Also, to make it a bit more traditional DMC, what about once Dante gets out of hell (DMC2), the Angels approach Dante for HIS help. There is a new power in hell that has began invading the Angels territory and kidnapping, torturing & killing Angels. They ask Dante to go back to hell to save their brothers and sisters. He agrees and the first 15 missions will be Dante's descent into hell. After he defeats the powers down there, some of the more powerful Angels attempt to kill him. He defeats them and finds out That the General and his small army of bada$$ Angels are Tyrants in heaven and are keeping the "nice" angels captive in a sense. So the next 15 is Dante's Ascention to heaven to defeat these "evil angels" and save heaven from tyranny and keep Dante as "classic" DMC1/DMC4 Dante. Therefor your still get Dante as his good old self but I will flesh Dante out a lot more and have him get angry at certain points - as I said, these bad angels use trickery and what not to try and mess with Dante. While this all goes on, Nero takes care of earth, his missions starting after Dante ascends so they decide to take revenge on the ones he loves and run into Nero. What ya guys think, if I can work out the kinks in the story, is this a better idea. Also, the enemies will be very kool. A lot of MASSIVE bosses!

I will still use the enemies and everything, don't worry man LOL and I have finally settled on how Dante will be in this one. It's the DMC1/DMC4 hybrid. He will still be Über cool as always and quite layed back - as well as show off his demonic might more than ever before (I'm talking it would make Bayonetta look like a little girl). However, unlike DMC4, he will have his serious moments as a reference to DMC1 - nothing crazy, just times when he gets ****ed and lays a SERIOUS smackdown. Power-wise, I will find a way to push him beyond anything else DMC, something that far outdoes Sparda (a lot of you might not like this but its not like this is an actual game going into production :P) and this is part of the bada$$ angels reasons for moving against him, enough is enough to them, a demon should only be so powerful. Now Nero, he will simply be a more matured version of his DMC4 self but he is still firey. There is no point in having him and Dante as layed back as each other. They are mostly opposites- Nero runs off emotion and anger, Dante is simply overly powerful and enjoys kicking a$$ :P So that is the way I am going with it. Also DreadnoughtDT, I am working on some artwork of one of Dante's elite Angel foes...it is a lot more detailed than those partial sketches from before. I will post it in my other thread when I get a little further... I think you'll like it!

Also, for Dante's grab/special attacks, you will have a choice of two that can be performed on the BIG bosses. You will have an amazing attack where you use Rebellion/Ebony & Ivory for some BS moves and attacks that defy belief (you must hit the buttons displayed on the screen to continue the attack like GOW) and the second style will be where Dante shows off raw power (a la Bayonetta but even crazier) in which he can man handle building size Demons/Angels (by pressing the displayed button/s rapidly) - Dante fans should be loving this:D Now don't worry Nero fans. He will have a very advanced buster to use on big enemies in which he utilizes his DB like when he fought the "False Savior" for some big a$$ attacks! Whatcha guys think. Make the gameplay pretty crazy right when combined with their insane Swordplay/Gunplay! Oh and Dante's Demon Magic & Demon Focus which I am developing! Also, I am making Dante's missions 40! It is a two part story, the first story is his descent into hell and the second story is his ascention. Nero, I don't know, how many missions do you reckon DreadDT? Plus, to keep up with Dante's features, I am adding a "Rage" mode for Nero (I think it has been suggested on a thread beforehand?) I think it fits his personality very well :D

I think Nero should get 30-35 missions. Less than Dante, but enough to tell his story. I think the leader of Capcom would have a stroke/heart attack if his development team told him they want 70-75 missions! And the Nero "rage mode" was suggested back when this thread first started, just so you know. :P

70-75 discs!? HOLY CRAP! *ahem* You might wanna fix that. ;)

Typos aside, what do you guys think about Bloody Palace? Personally, I think each character should get a separate Bloody Palace. Dante's will be the Bloody Palace we know and love from DMC 2 and 3, and Neros will be... I don't know yet. But definitely NOT four's. I REALLY don't like that one...

Hell yeah, individualized bloody palace is awesome, I imagine Dante's would be a heavenly colosseum from his missions... Nero should be... damn I'm stumped as well lol something kool. You could use Trish wielding Sparda & L & O. A new Angel character you could use and maybe a major Demon character.

Nice idea... I imagine it would be very kool... Also, for story gameplay, Dante (using his own, brute strength) & Nero (Using the Devil Bringer) can grab objects from the environment (cars, boulders, whatever) and throw them at enemies. You think it would be pretty kool!!!

Something i completely forgot to add.The game should be free-roaming,like Ninja Gaiden[the first],but with each passing chapter several changes will be made in the world and more areas would be unlocked. That would give the whole gameplay more meaning due to side-quests,extra areas and the ability to save everywhere a la Ocarina of Time[or Ys 7 if you prefer].Now That would be totally good.

^ I like that idea! And I have an idea for Nero's BP. It'll be this big, open area in the middle of Fortuna, and the location will change every thousand levels. Like, levels 0-1000 will be the Fortuna fountain, then 1000-2000 will be the opera house, etc etc. And I like the idea of playing as the General. Speaking of which... I came up with a name for the General!
Diavolo Angelo, which is Italian for Devil Angel. :D I knew I'd come up with something eventually!

A few more enemy ideas, this time for the Angels.

Morto Anima (dead soul): Basically shadowy versions of angels. The General has brought them up from Hell to redeem themselves. While being surprisingly fast for their bulky armor, they cannot defend from back attacks. Attack their exposed back for extra damage.
Grab: Dante grabs the MA's sword and skids behind it, thrusting the sword into it's back.

Custode (gatekeeper): Wearing armor four inches thick, this enemy is nigh-invulnerable. To damage them, you must use the environment, or an element they're weak to. Water will rust their armor, and darkness will destroy it completely. Without their armor, they cannot fight.
Grab: Dante grabs the Custode's head and crushes it, but only if it's armor is gone.

Trigger Knight: Imagine an Alto Angelo, but with ancient looking armor. There's the Trigger Knight. However, they hold the distinction of being able to AT (Angel Trigger) no matter the difficulty.
Grab: Imagine Dante doing the Alto Angelo buster. Yeah, I'm lazy.
