maybe she remastered them into female boots? or took inspiration from Dante :D
Maybe they shop at the same cowboy store. I’m only half kidding on that. I think the similarity was intentional to draw some kind of connection between the two.

is this his daughter :O Probably a stretch though

more good news then, so far everything about the game has been good, yep.. and it looks like the arm is extremely useful with it being limited in use

Did you read the novel? The gunsmith in the original novel was an older woman named Nell and according to that she made Ebony and Ivory. Used to be Tony Redgrave who made them but after it was her. Nico is her granddaughter.
oooh, missed this piece of info :D Thanks

Here is a stream replay where, around the 3h 53m mark, Itsuno and a couple of other devs are interviewed about DMC5.

For those who can't or don't wanna watch it, here are the info that got disclosed from it.

- The black guy smoking a cigar at the beginning of the trailer is indeed Morrison from the anime... somehow.

- They can't say who the red demon with multiple blue eyeballs (I'm guessing they're eyeballs) from the beginning of the trailer is yet, but he's definitely gonna be an enemy in the game and he's gonna be a pretty big guy, more than 20 ft tall.

- The Devil May Cry neon sign that Nero put on his van was given to him by Dante like in the DMC4 novel.

- The van is actually also Nero's office and it has a fully rendered reception area inside it.

- They made sure to bring back as many of the developers that worked on DMC3 and 4 as possible for this one, and Yuji Shimomura is once again the director and choreographer for the fight cutscenes.

- Nero's Devil Breakers will deteriorate with usage and he carries a number of them with him to quickly re-equip them after they break. It's not clear if this is a gameplay thing as well (I hope not) or just a story/lore detail.

- You can indeed use a variety of Devil Breakers, each with their own unique capabilities, more details about that at Gamescom.

- Nero's jacket is an actual real life one they got made in Europe and then photoscanned to port it into the game's engine.

- The music video for the "Devil Trigger" song contains little hints about the third playable character.

No words about the twin brothers of Sparda yet.

My problem wasn't how reboot Dante looked, it was that they called him Dante. But fans have wanted Nero to look different from Dante and that's what we finally got

The 'fans' don't have a consensus on what they want. A lot of them didn't want Nero to return, a lot of them wanted Dante to return as the main character without Nero. Theres been a lot of division on what the fans actually want. Some of them may have wanted a rebooted design for Nero yes.

We can pretend as much as we want, this new version of Nero looks very close to DmC Dante, but heres the thing, the new Nero actually looks very good; so we can't complain either way.

I'm, well, I don't think they look alike.

To clarify, this is supposed to be the new facial capture actor for Dante. It's his likeness they're supposedly using, though I don't see it from that pic. The nose looks too wide.

they actually look alike berto, it's even the same eyes with DMC4 dante, same low brows, same nose, same thin upper lips. yeah, i believe if he's the actor, only dante might have wider face.

Umm.

So, supposedly this is the new face of Dante:

And this is the first pic when I googled his name:

I just say it. RE7 engine is awfull with faces. Leon looks like Justin Bieber in remake. So I think it tanks on the engine

Ok, eyes, chin. I can see that, but the nose? Dante's nose is way too wide, at the bridge and that smile makes it hard to distinguish the lips.

So they even have a prototype for the game case

Called it!!

But seriously. Seen how the producer what a gringo I get the impression they did that on for the progressiveness of it. I’ve mentioned before my feelings about changing an established character’s race. With that being said I kinda like the idea of Morrison being a black guy. It gives him more personality, makes him a little more interesting. He wasn’t particularly captivating before, or at all, but with his few lines of dialogue he’s already shown more character than his entirety in the anime.

I normally dont care about race swapping characters because usually how superhero/comic properties do it is that its still a new character just using the moniker/mantle of that character (Miles Morales may be a black/hispanic SpiderMan but he is not Peter Parker or Amadeus Cho may be the Korean Hulk but he is not Bruce Banner) or its another universe where that version of that character is a different race or a completely different source material/continuity (like comic to film, etc).

But none of those apply to this case. Unless if the DMC anime is no longer canon (and for some reason the DMC4 novel and all other novels are now 100% canon due to DMC5 pulling direct influence from those) I have a hard time believing that Morrison turned black (unless he is wearing black face lol). There is a possibility that Dante knows 2 people named Morrison (one black, the other white). At this point why even race bend a character vs making a new one at this point it just makes things confusing.

oh, i thought you meant the model's nose, but that's probably dante's face is wider while the model's too narrow.

about the smile, wasn't there talks how the RE7 engine is bad with facial expressions? altho it worked on nero.

or maybe we're not used with dante giving a wide smile. but it looked more like a grin to me

All this new info is makin me hyped to the m4x! Everythin looks dandy to me so far!

You can use Google translate for the famitsu interview by the way, it does an ok job at translating japanese into English. I guess it's better than nothing.

While it's true that everyone has different opinions the main problem I saw people expressing was the fact that he was a Dante clone. Now he's not. But i think it's a bit unfair to get mad that people like this game and Some of those same people don't like the reboot. While they are similar people aren't just blindly loving this because it's the original and hating the other because it's a reboot
