Anyone know what is the score modifier per Style raise?
Like do you get +1.1 when you hit D and then +1.2 when you hit C and so forth?

No new threads on 4chan, cuhrayzee general board is dead, Cuhrayzee Fandom Wiki is dead. I subscribed 20 DMC channels and most of them stopped making new combo videos about a month ago, some of them either make DmC or DMC 4 combo videos. Since they are not working on collaborations I have only one explanation. They got bored of the game because it's basically DMC 4 but much slower.
Two months have passed and the hype is already dead but here you are still pretending that DMC 5 rocks. HURR DURRR COMBAT SYSTEM IS DEEP THAT'S ALL I WANT. LOL. What if Itsuno doesn't make DMC 6? It's possible because there are no DLCs. Nobody's gonna remember the series in a year AHAHAHAHAH.

You can use Highside after the second Sword hit, it resets the sequence so you can do it again.

Would the Style ranking continue going up when you do this?
Dunno how much the game allows you to repeat a move.

I think not but in that case you can always use other moves to juggle. Highside is a good combo extender in general, the last Style hit in your sequence causes knockback so using Highside instead of it allows you to keep staying in the air for longer, and even more so if you Enemy Step before it, since jump canceling resets the descending acceleration.

Still don't understand the specifics of repeating a move.
I think Sin Devil Trigger moves continue to raise Style even if you repeat them?
I saw a video walkthrough where someone used two Demolition one after another and they both raised Style.

My only "testing" so far was that DMC4 was more forgiving with repetition than DMC5.
I could do a ground move, an air combo and a Buster and I could redo the ground move again and gain Style.
Overall, my Style kept rising in DMC4.

Hmm...seems a bit pointless. Also potentially runs the risk of being able to abuse the healing factor of the regular DT.

I watched a playthrough the other day and I was reminded of a few parts that didn't sit well with me, they just seemed off. I thought it was weird the first time around but I let it go. It still bugged me but I thought with time I'd feel less raw about it... Nope.
First there's that part where Trish tells V that she's not his mommy. Even the first time I saw that I remember that it was way off left feild and I was like, what? Where did that come from? What did any of what he said and ask have to do with that response? He wasn't asking permission or help or looking for consolation. He asked if he did the right thing. Really, it sounds to me like Trish has some issues with that because more like that was for Trish's benefit more than for V's. Methinks the lady doth protest too much, specially because nobody said anything, she brought that up out of nowhere. Lady, nobody thinks of you as their mommy, you need to deal with those issues on your own damn time.
Nero sounds like a petulant child in that last level. The constant name calling, the swearing, the whole hang up with being called dead weight. It got really obnoxious for me. It didn't work for DmC and it works just as well here.
Lastly, all these Vergil things. That last line, for example,, 'don't you dare say it.' Why not? That's not just his catch phrase, it was both of theirs. Seemed like more of a comedic setup for Dante to say it than anything. Also, since when does Vergil talk like that? I get why everyone in Fortuna had that pseudo victorian speech, which leads to ask why didn't Nero or Kyrie talk like that? But, anyway. Vergil didn't. I mean, it's not as over the top as Credo's, pretty low key, actually, but I don't remember a single instance in 3 where his speech was anything like that, as close as it got was that whole foolishness line, but nothing really. I get the 'make haste, Dante' is a reference to DmC but the other instances, even if it's just a few, really rub me the wrong way, in a why are you talking like that sort. And then there's that whole 'your portal opening days are over' line. Dante saw him do it a total of once in 3 games, hardly a defining characteristic. Another thing it inherited from DmC, I know, but whenever I hear him say that I just think 'what the hell are you talking about?' You make it sound like he's going around with an Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device causing mayhem.
I have a lot of complains about the game but for some reason these bug the hell out of me. Like, really, really.
Edit: It occurs to me that I've been pretty absent lately, but whenever I am around I tend to complain a lot. The thing is, Capcom clearly are making an effort to be who we'd hope they'd be. After a long slump they are trying hard and they deserve to be acknowledged so it feels wrong to be complaining about it when they are putting that much effort into it. At the same time, though, I don't want to just keep quiet about things I want to say out loud because the other guy is working so hard at it. That's self censorship and it'd defeat the whole purpose of being here. I just don't like that I don't like what I don't like and wish it wasn't so.
