Depends on what writers we got. Some of his DMC3 Dialogue was quite witty, and in DMC4 As much as I hated that game, I loved watching him annoy the F*ck out of 'Nero with "Adios kid"Oh, c'mon, now. Dante's lines were never that clever. At most he would have said the same types of things he said to Trish in DMC 4 when he told her to scram.
'Cause in this trailer he's reminiscent of DMC3 Dante. Only without the cheesy lines and the woo-hoos. It's the nostalgia talking. Are you upset about it?
I actually liked Dante in that moment in DMC 4. He seemed to have a quiet concern- Even holding out an arm so as to catch Credo as he fell so he could die with more dignity than a faceplant. He seemed thoughtful. Too bad he ruined it just a few scenes later.Oh, you know.. In DMC4, he didn't give a ratshyt when Credo died next to him. Just an example.
Apparently, yes.
I don't see it. Just because he recovered fast from a guy he doesn't know dying is not like told him to **** of when he asked him to save Nero because he didn't care.Oh, you know.. In DMC4, he didn't give a ratshyt when Credo died next to him. Just an example.
It imitated DMC3 Dante because he was the fan favorited Dante, not to mention he was the one who took Lady to bed with him, so really I can see why they did that. I actually do think this new Dante is cool, but DMC3 Dante kind of sends out a "Be yourself " message, attitude wise I'm basically an insane version of him.It was an honest question, mrrandomlulz. I'm not hating on anything at the moment. I like the trailer for it's polish and style, but dislike the fact that it imitated DMC3 Dante. Nothing more.

Oh, you forgot 'boring'. He was boring as well.I always preferred his Anime adaption. He's much more relaxed, suave, and doesn't freak out in the most dire of situations (unless someone takes his strawberry sunday).
Well, DMC1 Dante's personality was my favorite. Any cheese in that game was purely unintentional. The "LIIIIIGGGHHHHT" scene was meant to be taken seriously...*sigh*....
I honestly think NT didn't have to make him like DMC3 Dante. He could have been serious and still be badass.
It's not the rocket riding or enemy surfing, it's the whoohooing.Yeah, let's hope this is as crazy as it gets. I wouldn't want him to start riding rockets now.
The tracks that played during both of the tgs trailers harkened back to older styles, better styles. They both sounded... I don't know... retro-ish. I don't think old Dante listened to gun's and roses. That's not what was in his jukebox.Yet again, that's the thing I don't like about "modernizing" characters, they never do it right, That is why I liked the Yogi Bear remake, it said "**** modernizing, let's keep Yogi, Yogi." And they did, He was exactly as he was in the cartoon. Spill.com even mentioned this in their review of that movie.
When you try to make him more like DMC3 Dante, it is better, Old Dante was the kind of guy who would jam to Guns N Roses in the middle of a battle, New Dante couldn't handle this kind of badassery because Guns N Roses isn't "modern" (lame) enough for this game. But gameplay wise they are on the right track
