Okay.
So It's time for me to give my thoughts and review on the demo I played.
I played this on the PS3 demo also.
GRAPHICS: 8/10
The graphics were great and really eye popping. I mean, it was seriously bright colored and so surreal. However, I also had some moments where the movements of the character would suddenly slow up a bit and the framerates would drop at about less during cutscenes. All in all, it was pretty great seeing Dante on an actual television.
VOICING: 7/10
There wasn't much voice acting I haven't seen already. Then again, that's expected since this IS a demo after all and not anything new we haven't seen before. Some voices have been moved to different scenes but fit pretty well either way.
STORY: 3/10
There wasn't much story to be shown so it's not like I could have expected it to be. Plus it's a demo, so that's blatantly obvious as to why the rating is what it is.
PLATFORMING: 7:10
Platforming was pretty easy all in all. The only problem I really had was with the final church level where I kept falling because I didn't use Angel glide at the right time. Also I didn't fight the boss, cause my younger brother kept getting in the way of me playing so I couldn't give a proper review on that platforming.
GAMEPLAY: 8/10
I got the groove of how to play it from all the control manuals here on the forums and tips on how to go, and that only helped me for a little while. Unfortunately, my friend dared me to go on SoS mode on my first try and...well you can only imagine. I also had the habit of playing it like I would DMC3 when it came to stinger, aerial rave, and jump canceling. After getting a better feel for it in human mode, I started to have a blast playing it. The "no lock-on" wasn't a problem for me at all. I was grabbing the enemies I wanted, and used the analog stick to move from one target to the next.
ALL IN ALL: 9/10
Besides some frame mess ups, me not knowing how to play it to a master level, and platforming mess ups from me, the game was really satisfying. Though it's not as amazing as I thought it would be, it still made a very large impression on me, and I wouldn't mind it being the successor to DMC.^_^

Your opinions your opinion glad you like the game, But it seems your willing to forget the originals all to easily.

Why does everyone think that liking DmC means forgetting about the past games?! Seriously, what the hell? :/

Because its scattered among websites, I am not saying that liking DmC means forgetting about the past games 100%. Its the mood around other sites that are praising the demo that gives the air that people are willing to forget it.
Or the fact that they just enjoy the demo and want to talk about it publicly.
Hey opinions are opinions they are entitled to it no doubt about it. But its the air around it not their opinions that are doing it.

See...that's a bit more of that contrived bullshit I always talk about. People like the demo, or are excited about the game, so suddenly people think others are just disregarding the originals :/
Y'know, I actually had someone come into the store and pick up DMC HD because he liked the DmC demo, and wanted to see the franchise's roots

in all seriousness, the original games were fun but to me it's nothing to warrant people griping about other people liking this game. Original fans will never and I mean NEVER forget the original DMC games bar a head injury or mental incapacity. And newcomers will probably want to dig into the roots just like TWOxACROSS said. people are allowed to like what they like regardless of what anyone says or does. I for one haven't forgotten the original series but I can't wait for the new one to release and I am going to play the living crap out of it until my fingers hurt and I get complaints from work about not showing up.

The originals rock, no doubt, but every game gets 'forgotten' to some extent after 5 years. I don't think this game being awesome is going to shed a bad light on the originals. And if new fans want to play the old games or not, that's up to them- it's not a requirement, and it shouldn't be. (I've been playing since 2001, but seriously, give these new people a break)
Sure, being an old-thyme fan will enhance the experience somewhat, but I think there's a big advantage for the new players not being so tied into their perceptions of what a Devil May Cry game must be. Those with an open mind and willingness to master the control scheme and challenges in DmC will certainly gain the most from it.
It is a little depressing to think that some old fans might pick up the game and only play it once just to say they did, instead of really immersing themselves. I only say this because I've spoken to a few who are real maniacs.

I've gotten into the demo some more... and I have to say, if the full game is as good as the demo then it would probably get a 9/10 from me.
I hate the dialog shown, and I hate the character designs... but the gameplay is so good that I really have no issue ignoring these things. It'll probably be the best DMC I've played since DMC1.
I just love the variety in it. Like, I've been experimenting lately with how to take on enemies... and I found a sweet spot that I really love. I'm actually having an easy time now on SoS. It'll probably be impossible for me to SSS it unless I abuse the Demon Dodge thing, and even then it would be difficult... but as far as completing it goes, I can finish it with a full bar of health.
Honestly, if the full game is as forgiving as the demo... I'm going to have just as much fun as I had with DMC1.
