DMC4 vs DmC: Speed Comparison/Analysis

DMC 4 Dante's moves are a lot cleaner than both Nero's and the alt. guy. I guess the youngsters throw their weight into their attacks because they haven't...well I don't want to say they haven't mastered their combat for their age/lifestyle/personality but..it seems a little unrefined and..blunt, if you catch my drift, like it fits who they are now.

And something I've noticed with DMC 3 Dante and Vergil. Dante's moves in that game were also clean-cut given his youth, but he seemed to take a moment or two to kill his enemies while a few hits from Vergil made the demon obliterate into nothing. I know, by the way he fights, that Vergil took his training a little more seriously, but he was a 'slower-moving' fighter than Dante. Like Dante zipped-zapped here and there but his results took longer, and Vergil took his sweet time doing anything but his results were quicker. Those two can't be more polar opposites.:)

Nice freaking job man. I posted my comment on your video talking mostly about how I want to see the same but with both pc versions. ONLY because comparing Pc-Console is a minor unfairness and I do mean minor. Basically im saying it wouldda been perfect if you had both DMC 4 on console compared to DmC demo on consoles so it would match up in terms of the consolse then both pc versions for final analysis.

I saw your comment. Basically I replied with this:

"The console version and the PC version of DMC4 runs at the same exact speed. So one would assume it's fair to compare with the PC version."

. . . I even made jokes about people complaining that I should have used a console version of DMC4, before uploading the video. When they aren't that different. The only differences are LDK and Turbo Mode. As well as some Super Costume changes.

Gotcha man but hopefully you can somehow get the pc version and we can get a full analysis then. Im sure it will have turbo mode if NOT then modders will take care of that

I'm not getting the PC version because of:

1) I don't want to buy it.
&
2) My computer cannot handle it.

And I kinda doubt Turbo mode will be included. If it does, I personally think the game would look a tad bit off.
And even if people made mods with "Turbo Mode", I wouldn't use it as comparison.

Hopefully you were joking with the 5% statement, we know all the moves and weapons, more like we know 95% of what the combat of DmC has to offer.

PC version comes with turbo mode. Like DMC3 once i played DMC4 turbo mode I couldn't go back to normal!

We haven't seen all of it in action. Especially at high level play. We've just seen move lists.

Ah well that cuts down my theory.
Personally, that just gives us an excuse to finally compare the two with Turbo mode.
Even though I don't think it will make much of a difference than to compare it normally. It's essentially speeding up both games past their base speed. It's not changing anything else.

DmC doesn't have turbo mode, but Devil Trigger makes it 10% faster and having an S rank gives another 10% boost (I think)

I don't understand the speed boost for having S rank. But I need to check that out sometime.

As for Devil Trigger, Dante in DMC3/4 could do the same. D.T. granted him with speed boost as well as a damage boost.

Silly nick name? I'm not about to call him new Dante/Dmc Dante, so I said alternate guy, since this takes place in an alternate universe.

By just calling him "alternate guy", you confuse people. You cannot expect people to know who you are referring to. DmC Dante or new Dante (as I prefer to call him) are more specific and would not lead to such confusion. But question is, why do you refuse to do so?

I can call him what I want, especially to differentiate from the two versions.

But you referred to the original Dante as, "DMC4 Dante," so calling this one, "Dante," wouldn't have been at all confusing. But you're right. Call him what you want. It's just seems childish when you refuse to even acknowledge him as Dante at all.
