I'm glad vergil is back cuz Dante must've been sooooooooooo bored since. Vergil is the only real challenge for him now that he's so OP

XD what's the point of this thread, we're gonna have Vergil soon, we'll know more about his moveset in the next weeks and we already know his look.

If that artwork is any indication, they will. Bianco and Alto Angelos were made from fragments of Nelo Angelo, which means that scenes are obviously set after his last battle with Dante.

actually, in the official page it says that vergil visited fortuna many years before dante. the implication is that this is tha visit.

It could be that the cutscenes have new canonical content followed by a non-canonical playthrough, just like DMC 3: SE. Vergil didn't have Cerberus or Force Edge yet, but IIRC he has them from the beginning of the campaign in DMC 3: SE. I wouldn't read too far into it, as we could still get new story content in the cutscenes.

I just can't wait to go into the Library and check out his character model in detail this summer. I'll pump up the resolution on my PC like crazy just to take an absurdly high-fidelity pic. Hopefully my video card can go just a titch higher than 4K to get some really nice renders.

Hmm having beowolf and force edge and fighting the angelo things. Makes no sense
But neither would it make sense for him to use them in DMC3. It's not not story driven, his armament, it's because his combat has been established like that in DMC3 and the are going with that.

Force edge looks like it got a tune-up:wink::wink:.if this in the past before he died then when is it he looks older than dmc3 vergil but right after that he got possessed and then he died/diissapeared the only way I see this working is if he didn't die but was defeated a nd after dantes defeated mundus he was freed or something like that cuz there's just no reasonably big blank space they can throw his story in the only one is DMC4-dmc2 but he's dead at that time so it can't be then but if it is at the same time that Dante is there then the whole vergil turned into a devil arm theory just gets thrown out the window

Those DT models...
My body is ready.

I like how the sheath looks more demonic now, with those claws.

Also, looks like he's doing a Stinger-like move in the picture near his Beowulf form. He couldn't do that before. Only Dante has had that move so far.

Also, in the picture near his Yamato form... is that the ending of a Yamato Round Trip move? Hmmm...

And good news for those who feared that the uppercut move shown in the trailer would replace Rising Sun: look at the screenshot below his Beowulf form, he's clearly performing Rising Sun! Hell yes!

There you go, the DT look:

Gotta say, they did a fine job on Vergil's model, looks awesome in action. I'd love to see him in motion too.

The updated DT looks sick. Also, since on the two pictures below the Yamato DT, you can see Vergil performing his slash with Yamato with and without the Concentration gauge filled and with it filled, there seem to be two slashes so his doppelganger which we could see in the trailer could be the way of Concetration increasing your damage.

Isn't the Stinger-like move done with Force Edge on the picture? I'm guessing that Vergil will probably have some moves modified like Dante while in Devil Trigger.

Everything looks absolutely brilliant but the Devil Trigger could have been made to look a bit similar to Dante's, but a mixture of Devil May Cry 3's version and the Devil Trigger that Dante had...I mean a blend of both worlds.

However I'm liking the whole scaly look though....
