DmC - What We know so far

To me I understood the DMC Story (They just mixed up the order) and Capcom did say they expect it to sell 2 million copies by the end of the year here is the link but it is a target:

http://andriasang.com/con0zg/capcom_sales_targets/

And I did say that DMC fans and CoD fans are different but you can understand my worries. As I said 2 million does not seem a lot to say RE 6 which has 7 million as a target but will probably sell lots more. But if DmC sold 2 million in say the first month then I might not worry so much but would worry that DMC 5 would be put on the shelf.

Zargus (Just to make sure demon general was right lol :P)

buddy itll defo sell over two million if its any good DMC 4 sold 2 million in its first month.

Actually DMC 4 as of 26th May 2012 sold 1.27 million for Xbox 360, 1.43 million for PS3, 0.1 million for PC so that is 2.8 million. DMC 1 is the highest with 2.99 million.

actuall by march of 2008 it sold 2.3 million world wide. but thats no the point. the point is that as long as its good. itll definitely meet the 2 mill mark

It may have sold 2.3 million in the first month can not argue with that but overall it has only jumped up 0.5 million to 2.8 million. Even if DmC sells 2 million in its first month to be really successful and to put my fears to rest it will need to sell a lot more then 2 million overall as I said DMC 1 is the best selling one out of the entire series with 2.99 million. If it can beat that and say sell over 4 or 5 million then I would still be fearful but just not as much.

put it on all consoles and i will buy it if they put it on wii that would be good but better on PS2 but they wont do that either oh noooooooo -_- why why!!!! they only sell on the 2 consoles i can't get!!!!

quality promotes success. if its good, itll sell. like the first AC. it was brilliant so it sold well.

Which is one reason I am worried to be honest.

I am in no means a troll at all but I just want to say my Two cents. I have to say that the game to me now looks interesting concept wise but some elements could have been done better like the DT imo and the rankings in combat (Come one S always has to mean Stylish in my eyes for any DMC game including DmC). When I heard that it was going to use UR3 engine which uses 30 fps I was worried that the combat would be slow and sluggish instead of fast, flowing and furious like the previous DMC games that used 60 fps. I am not sure if a Game play video has been released but if it has I can finally see what it is like. Also if they have changed it then I do not need to worry about it.

Anyway the reason I am worried is because this game can only go two ways. 1) It goes extremely well and my main worries are put to rest but will then worry that because DmC has done so well that Capcom will put DMC 5 on the shelf and concentration on the DmC games instead of possibly doing both DmC 2 and DMC 5 (Since DmC is a reboot but has no influence on DMC, DMC 2, DMC 3 and DMC 4 as DmC is in an Alternate Universe) 2) The game can do really badly and flop causing Capcom to think that the DMC Franchise is no longer making any money for Capcom and put both DMC and DmC on the shelf. These are my main concerns. Even if the game does alright Capcom might decide to go with what I am fearing and put it on the shelf completely as well.

Also Capcom have said that they expect DmC to sell 2 million copies by the end of the year (If it is Jan 2013 for the release date) to me that is not many copies sold in a year for a game to be honest when games like CoD MW3 for example sold 6.5 million in one day in the US and UK alone. I understand that the fan bases are completely different from each other but 2 million copies in a year (That is roughly 166,667 copies a month) to me does not seem that much and will probably mean that the game will flop and my second worry might come true.

Just my two cents on DmC and what I know so far.

Understandable^_^

Agreed but DmC has had, in my eyes, bad press and a lot of it so it has a lot to try and make up. For a while I thought that NT and Capcom would have to perform a miracle to get DmC to be good and while I am still unsure it looks like they are heading in the right direction.

Understandable^_^

Cheers :D

GoWIII another action, which is console exclusive, sold 5mill in its lifetime. That's the sort of success capcom is looking for. But better since it's on multiple consoles.

the title reminds me of destroy all humans 2

this is a demon only know as dante 137 evil, dangerous, unpredictable and now.....deceased
so what is being problem?
the problem comrades is that dante can clone himself and pose convincingly as humans and dante 138 has used this ability to get into limbo city
gasp and the limbonians are not noticing? hahahaa

I have not read it but for the lead designer of NT for one to say that he did not care what the fans think was some bad press to be honest. (I do not know how to spell his name so I just call him the Lead Designer of NT lol)

go check some gameplay videos there's two walkthroughs on the E3 demo. After your done comeback and post your thoughts that way your not behind on the important info. I'm not saying this as a rant just advice for future discussions

I have seen them now and I did say that the game looks interesting concept wise but from the bad press it got when it was announced in my eyes it still needs to do just a bit more for me. At the moment I would probably rent it and see if it was any good to buy. NT normally have a great story, great graphics but not that good game play but DmC does look a lot better. But still the all purpose weapon is one of the things that I am not sold on.

^ To be honest though, nearly any weapon is 'all purpose' if the player using it uses it correctly. But failing that, holding either left or right trigger to change the form of the rebellion is no different from simply pressing left or right trigger to cycle weaponry in DMC 3.

But at least in DMC 3 it is a different weapon you can select rather then being the same weapon that changes its form.

yh but were looking at many forms about 6 or something so i have no problem with it

you can change and switch weapons on the fly. using the d-pad you can change out yourr demon and angel weapons. Though the one thing i don't know is weither rebellion is inter changeable.
