Why?
You know? I predicted you'd make this question. I guess i have to answer first:Answer that question yourself first. Why do you think it sounds bad?
You know? I predicted you'd make this question. I guess i have to answer first:
Angel/Demon concept might drag religion into story.
Religion story and game = not so good.
One of my personal philosophies are "Don't ask a question you aren't ready to answer yourself."
Well prepared.
As for the religion thing, it doesn't necessarily drag religion into the game more than it had in the past games. It wouldn't be any different from how Bayonetta did it. From what we have seen so far, it seems more like an excuse for the game mechanics rather than Dante actually becoming a beacon of a religious character. But again, personal opinion is personal.
Just saying if the angel part is a story thing related to religion, then it does not sound good for DmC. It doesn't sound like a game mechanic excuse (isn't human stance that?).
I find it interesting, because it would make a personal conflict to Dante. He's a child of two colliding forces, the holy and the damned, and from the hints we've gotten, he's being neutral about it, not taking sides as such, unlike the original Dante who took sides with the humans (his human part) and went against demons. I wonder how well they will play this out in the storyplot.
As i've said many times, NT Dante has nothing to do with Dante and vice versa, so avoid dragging them into the discussions. For all we know there might not be a Sparda, a Trish, a Lucia or any of the same characters in DmC. And even if there are it's probably for marketing reasons. I certainly don't expect anything DMC from DmC than what it has copied already. Though something tells me NT is using DMC characters and concepts already though.
He's not neutral, he's already started to take out "cameras". But again i personally want to sleep with the thought of Holy vs
Being neutral means that he is not with one or the other. Maybe the demons wants to get their hands on Dante, so he is just resisting that. That doesn't mean he has taken sides with the angels. It doesn't sound like he's neutral considering the whole game's purpose is for him to kill demons.
And there will ALWAYS be made comparisons between the two Dante, wether you like it or not. So there's no use trying to prevent it. I will make any comparison I feel like, so asking me not to is just as useless.
Just saying if you want that dumb poser to be viewed with an open mind you should not compare the two. By doing so you will expose the poser.
The interviews main-focus is to advertise. What new info did the interview provided to russian magazine reveal? That angels might not be typical good?Yeah, Europe time kinda cut me out of that argument, so I'l stick to what Zwei said, because I'm not going to repeat myself.
Interviews main-focus is not advertisement but info. The rest basically has been said.
The interviews main-focus is to advertise.
No. The russian press probably asked for an interview (like press does, NT sure as hell didn't beg for the interview), NT was all "ok, why not?", they gave their info, end of story. How this looks like advertisement will always stay a riddle to me.
What new info did the interview provided to russian magazine reveal? Almost None, because there's almost none. Russian press asked, NT delivered. You should recheck how press works.
A russian who buys games has probably or can afford a pc with internet access. And if they are fans of DMC they would already read up the news on it.
Therefore making your argument moot.
So if that interview is to "provide info" - then why is 95% of it old news that was repeated like...3 weeks ago?
Why did they repeat all the infos in english press like three times? To advertise it even moar? Because the english world didn't get the first two interviews?
Where as a causal gamer would not know if DmC exists or not. So by providing the interview unaware gamers will become "enlighted".
Then you're just proclaiming it as a fact, that casuals automatically buy gamers press?
Sorry to disappoint you but there is a war over here as well. I got my soldiers set everywhere:Hello everyone, I'm yet another refugee from the front at CU. Anyway.
Like the new screens--it's about time we had something new, and the quality is excellent. My faith in the graphical capabilities of this game is rising again after the most recent low-res gameplay trailers.
Oh, and nice to see you Deadlegend. You were one of the only sane people over there...
Don't worry. *puts on duster and cool shades* Now I'm ready.
I will set up my flag here, and wave it proudly for all to see: Pro DmC. Critical, but still pro.
Now, as Dante would say: "Come On!"

Sorry if the translation is a little 'off'. I tried my best, and the Google Translate was REALLY giving me hell. The Ninja Theory forum people are so sulky about it.
