DmC or DMC5?

Not sure you got my point.....

I was naming off gaming icons and you said I forgot Kratos.

I replied that I did not because I did not view him as a gaming icon.

And you replied back that you believed that a game character should be over 10 years old before becoming a icon.

And now your talking about reboots?

You've lost me...........

i'm not talking about reboot i was saying kratos is not yet dead as they can reboot the series so that's my point how he may remain for more than a decade :)

But Dante has remained for a decade.

The first DMC game came out on August 23, 2001.

Which means Dante tunred 10 years old back in August.

Kratos has another 3 or 4 years left.

Wow.

Thats REALLY weird coming from you....

Considering the fact that you have bashed alot of DmC supporters around the forum for liking this new Dante and even went so far as to call them "None fans" of the original Dante.

Now your saying you want the old Dante to die and the new one to go on?

Just seems a bit off not to mention contradictory to your attitude around the forum when you first got here.

As a fan myself I like my gaming icons to be immortal.

Just like Mario

Just like Sonic

Just like Samus

Just like Link

Sorry but I guess I just hold the original Dante in a higher regard than others.

Dante should be timeless.
The fact they have made a version of Dante is unforgiveable.
And the version is not like new Mario designs are compared to original Mario.
The version is just...a version which does not keep the character that is Dante.

That is why i rather see my friend Dante die than see him having to share a seat with a character that has copied him.
Dante will always be in our minds/hearts. He is already immortal.
By death i mean never see him again in a game. We will always remember Dante. "That bad ass noob that's our friend :) ". His spirit will live on.

I don't want to see Dante die. :(
That would be so sad.
I don't think you want Dante to die. But i am puzzled why some people who likes Dante, but shows excitement for the version that's a bad copy of Dante.
I mean if you like Dante - then shouldn't you dislike someone posing as him?
And if you want a different character - why not request a new one instead a bad copy of Dante?

Like I said the girls (Lady and Trish) could be used to explain why Dante is so silent now. And the shop would still be there considering nothing happened to it towards the end of DMC2. And where are the demons? There EVERYWHERE lol. Hell is full of them as well as the earth. And as far as something new, what do you mean? new gameplay? new characters?,new settings?

And as far as playing characters goes,

I was thinking playing as Dante at the very beginning showing how he got at of hell and leading up to him arriving at the shop (DMC2's ending).

Than maybe having a more mature Nero showing up and explaining to Dante about a Demon named Mundus causing havoc. Afterwards taking control of Nero would be cool.

Nero could later meet Vergil and have him explain who he is. Afterwards Vergil could explain that he is his father and offer to help kill mundus (because its obvious he must hate Mundus also). And than you take control of Vergil.

After that it would be nice to just switch between different characters periodically during the story.
well I could think of a way for to be like he is in DMC2 without anyone having to die, but it may seemed half assed, he could have just been bored like in the anime since there was never anything anymore that could challenge him. after a while he would have thought what's the point of even talking to them at all, I'm leagues above them, or the demons were so unintelligent that they can't even talk. why talk to anything that can't talk back. or it could have just been because of ****ty writing

DMC5 or D*C... that's an easy one DMC5 of course. While D*C is just a peace of c... DMC5 can continue with Dante, Vergil and Nero's story in Devil May Cry. D*C can't go or continue nothing cuz it will be just one game and that's why they'll try to make it canon.

DMC series need a break...you all know what I mean.
Until then DmC will try to attract new fans (completely different approach to DMC universe) and give Capcom time to think well before making another DMC game with plot holes.

No one should do anything. Only hipsters are all about the originals and hating on anything new. It's about being open-minded and being acceptive of something new. I'm not one to exclusively like ONE thing and ONE thing only and then hate on EVERYTHING else that slightly resembles that ONE thing but isn't that ONE thing.
Just because you like Coca Cola doesn't mean you ahve to hate Pepsi. It's allowed to like both.

I'd be fine with another game involving the Dante who is like the Dante of the original Devil may Cry, cheesy lines, white hair, 'uncool' dress sense and all, made in the same way, only in different settings with a different story, weapons and supporting characters. Sue meh.

Like in "Marvel VS Capcom 3"? Or his appearance in "Shin Megami Tensei: Lucifer's Call"?

i like Coca Cola and Pepsi. I lik Solo and Fanta.
I don't like Donte, but Dante.
And i am me, not a hipster (not that i know what a hipster is).

And Donte is not new. Its a bad copy.

I dont hate new things...I dont hate Nero.
And i also like all the Links in Legend of Zelda presented.

Then you should understand that liking one thing does not automatically mean you hate something alike. Like Coca Cola and Pepsi, so is the original Dante and the new Dante. Please, don't you start saying Donte too. It's so lame.

I understand. But you should understand Donte to me is just a bad copy.
And there is major difference between Donte and Dante. Comparing Pepsi and Coca Cola is like comparing DMC 1 Dante and DMC 2 Dante.

But if you compare Donte and Dante in a soda way:
Donte would be Cola
And Dante would be Fanta.

And i can call him Donte as much as i want. It's freedom of speech, furthermore you think it's so cool going around calling people hipsters for not liking Donte? And now you tell me to not call DmC character for Donte?

I never called you a hipster. I said I wasn't a hipster.

so the simple word is hippie you couldve just said that you know -_-

No no, a hipster is a term used to describe someone who prefers everything that is the original product and hates on everything that is a slight evolvement from the original. For example, a hipster prefers the original Super Mario games and hates on the new Super Mario Galaxy games. Liking Coca Cola, because that is the original cola, but hating on Pepsi and all other cola labels. Liking the book, hating the movie based on the book, stuff like that. There's more to a hipster than that, but that's the basic idea of what a hipster is like.

YUP JUST LIKE THAT.oh and the game is shin megami tensai:nocturne not lucifers call

Read this:

"Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, also known as Shin Megami Tensei: Lucifer's Call"

Why do you bring hipster into this thread? For what purpose?
If your not a hipster, i am not one...then why do you mention them?

It's stupid.
