DmC InsideXbox Interview

i think the way they handle bayonnetta might have been the way they should of handled it the first time.

i agree with you. i myself didn't find what they said about bayonetta offensive in the first place, but i think alot of other people wouldn't have taken it offensive if they would've said at first what they said in this interview.

He is the worst.

I've seen alot worse, really. Tameem Antoniades have said some unfortunate things, but they are not near what I have heard other representants say. For example, Lars von Trier said at pressconference about his newest movie, Melancholia, that he understands and sympathizes with Hitler. Tameem haven't said anything even close to that. To call Bayonetta for over the top and japanesey is just telling the truth, because it IS over the top and japanesey and it is supposed to be like that. I agree with chocolateghost though, that he should have said it differently so it wouldn't be misunderstood, however, I also think that Devil May Cry fans are being oversensitive and takes things too personally when someone talks about "their" game instead of approaching things with a cool head and try and understand what it is he really meant with what he said. Haters will always find a reason to hate and they hang on to every little insignificant bit if they can turn it around and use it against their target.

I wouldnt call him the worst but he did fumble the ball.

there are easier ways to handle that and the not being cool comment.

For example, he did not seem cool in DMC4 as he was trying to hard to impress which made him not cool by default.

Also acknowledging dante was more of a plot device than a actual character in 4 could be reason not to dwelve too much on being cool.

May I state that Tameem isn't exactly the most logical game director to refer to how "cool" something is? Too be frank, Bayonetta isn't "japanese-y"... at all, neither is DMC. Saying that those two is Japanese-y is like saying that Batman and Spider- Man are American- y... and there not. Captain America's American-y, Kenshin from Ruroni Kenshi is Japanese-y. To push further, Yuffie is Japanese- y, Cloud is not... Cloud is Emo-y.
