exactly. Another thing i'm concerned about is the difficulty. I hope it has hard, very hard, DMD, and Heaven and Hell mode

I like that there are some easy modes for us not so hardcore gamers who still want to enjoy a game like Devil May Cry, but of course the harder modes should be available for those who are really hardcore and likes a challenge!

I suck at DMC, i just beat hard mode (dmc3), but i had 30 large vitals at my disposal and beat the S**T out of it. but it has to be harder than dmc2.

I struggled with the harder modes in DMC2. XD
I never said I was good at DMC...

I do miss Lucia though... And I loved the Secretary look. She will probably never return, much to my disappointment, seeing as Trish and Lady are the leading bitches of the series, but I can always hope Lucia will show up in some way or form in this new DmC. ^^

I'm a ninja-lover, and Lucia's fighting style is so ninja. Agile, dualwielding blades, throwing knives... Love it.
And she was quite beautiful too and I liked the whole "rejected clone" storyline, though somewhat cliché, but hell, DMC is rather cliché. :P

DMC story was always cliche. the only real captivating story line was dante and dmc4 wasnt about him at all really

What aches me is the HUGE plotholes in the series. I totally understand why fans want a game to fill out those holes, but I don't think one game can do that. That's one of the reasons I applaud this reboot... a new chance to tell the story right, along with some new elements. ^^

for me the thing thats original, that dante wasnt sad over his long lost mother, plotting for revenge searching the earth for his brother and father he was at peace with what he is, and just kick in it and having fun

I dunno if its going to answer any of the questions but a reboot was a good choice. We'll just have to play it all over again. which is fine with me.
and i always thought dante was only just trying to be cool to shadow his real feelings.

Dante hates demons and hunts them down to kill every single one of them... and you don't think it has anything to do with them killing his mother? You don't think he has some kind of self-loathing for being what he is?

I believe the attitude he has in the games is a facade. It's a cool and tough exteriour, but I believe that deep inside, he has a hatred which is driving him to hunt demons and do what he does. If he truly didn't care, he would just settle down and have a normal work, a normal life...

Thats why he made a shop strickly for hunting demons (Devil May Cry)

guys a friend sent me this link, now this nerd(i dont mean disrespect by it) is on to something,i dont care about what hes talking about but it supports my point. take in consideration that hes not talking about DmC but he felt its the example for this case thats saying something, and i know hes not the best source in the world but he knows what hes talking about, watch at 5 min 46

pls try to understand this is not a creative thing or a reboot they are just using us because we love devil may cry and they know we will buy anything with DMC on it, and its working some ppl dont see it because they hope its what they want, and what there doing is nothing like a reboot this is what it means its not mine but every body seems to agree with it
starting from scratch, using the same characters and much of the same plot, but won't be treating what has happened in the earlier games as 'canon'

thats so true except is so hard to create a game thats original with no tie ins with any other game or take any fundamentals from another game, and have it sell. I'm not on the band wagon of NT reboot but i hope they do make a decent reinventing of the game, never the less, there is only two hack and slash games that i would buy in this day and age (bayonetta and DmC)

Quite an interesting video. Thank you. ^^
But I don't agree that this is the case with DmC. If Capcom wanted to make a sure buy with a Devil May Cry game, they would make Dante look like we know him, because that is the SURE and SAFE way. Like this guy says about Mario, Zelda, Halo etc...

And that is not the case with the new DmC. There are indeed changes made, but there are also alot of things that is typical Devil May Cry. If NT wanted to make a game that would seem like DMC, they would probably just do that, like they did with Heavenly Swords which is somewhat like God of War gameplay wise.

I do agree with his points about GameStop though. As said, quite interesting video.

no its not what he said he said they are marketing a new game through DMC basically, it have nothing to do with DMC only the name to boost sales we all know what happens with NT games they crashed and burned.

Yes, that's what you say, but I don't believe that. Because it's not a whole new game with just the DMC name slapped onto it. There are indeed similarities between this game and the past games, wether you can see them or not.

Well thats what there doing....but it would of been easier to just keep dante the same and have guaranteed sells would it. i'm pretty sure if another dmc4 clone came out it would sell like clock work

i agree 100%, but that does not give them the right to use me for there profit and they are not even given the basics of the game i love, its a spit in the face really
