Personally, I like it when strong characters start off weak when they're younger. It shows a huge amount of growth both physically and mentally. But when they start off like DmC Dante, the weakness is more subtle and less understandable.

I don't know. DMC3 Dante wasn't what I called "weak." He pretty much won every fight in DMC3 except against Vergil, Bewolf, and Arkham with Sparda's power.

You can't compare to the old thing without the newer thing. They can't complain at all about story if they have no idea what will happen. Saying something is "bullshit" is completely uncalled for and biased for someone who hasn't even played the whole game.

I think Dante's demon powers hasn't fully kicked in yet...so says the developers so he isn't all that powerful plus.....we only seen like a few cutscenes & like 1 boss fight its unknown whether Dante lost a fight yet....so how can you make sure he is all that strong.

hearing an anti-DmC rant in that voice was funny. the content of that rant was was probably the most inaccuate anti-DmC rant ever. most anti-DmC rants are based on actual traits of the game (even if some of them are just whining about minor changes like Dante's hair ) that could be considered flaws by some people. some of them are even reasonable complaints (just phrased in an unreasonable manner). this one claims that a game made by a company know for good stories is going to have a worse story than a series of games with badly written inconsistent stories based on a few story trailers that seem to show a significantly deeper story than previous Devil May Cry games.

whats so hard to understand dmc3 had updated the cinematic experience that dmc is now known for i showed my parents the demo degest and they like it it had conflict and resolve for both lady and dante and the tragedy of vergils downfall the overall them of family for one game it did its best to organize dmc,and can be tied into dmc1 if you please. the inconsistent part comes from ip problems i dont think capcom knew what to do with it originally after it became a hit three was also grade A at its time. DmC should try to be good for its time and hey maybe odd numbers is capcom jackpot when it comes to dmc.

the thing is this game doesnt have enough support so when it hits it may seem lack luster to the gaming world so it may be good but i dont think anyone will care it may not make a impact like 1 3 and bayonetta has. capcom doesnt care about devil may cry....(kanye west moment) im sure that theirs a pre oder resident evil 6 ad everywhere you go now not to mention the trailer merch promoting and infomation that we got from res6

Resident Evil 6 has so much stuff out right now and showed so many videos that I feel the story's a bit self explanitory. It will be good, but it feels like everything is shown and known about already.
I'm saying that Dante could start off alot weaker than that, and I don't mean just physically. I would look to see where he gets that cockiness from. What exactly gives him the confidence to insult someone 5x his size? That kind of stuff is what I want to know and see.
He punched a 1200 year old Slerm Queen in the face and knocked her out. What else do you need?
