DMC 5, the psycological evaluation of Dante

i think the first novel was written with the input of the original creator so it was meant to be cannon but dmc3 pushed it out of the way. technically you still could use it but you may have to rework it to may it fit because no one is going to believe a 17 year old with that kind of reputation.

exactly. but i still think it's rellivent to the story, like you said, it'd have to be tweaked but all n all i do believe it'd be used as the story line, and who knows dante could have a drinking issue at 17 (?). maybe not to the extent of how it was described in the book but none the less it could be possible since no one knows dante's true age because of his demonic heritage. most people who drink excessively drink underaged.

once again true. there are lots of holes to fill within the DMC plot, i'm just hoping that the new game may hopefuly fill them

i'm wondering wheteher or not we will see a sequel that is just a remake of dmc1 or it will take place within the ten years between the two games.

i don't think they'll actualy remake the old games but i think they'll make games that link them together so we can actualy follow the story through without gaps. like 2 for instance, i know everyone hates two but if they could explain why dante was the way he was, and maybe what happened afterwords people may understand it more. things like that, ya know? and also to explain Nero's story, that would be interesting. i think just about everyone's wondering the story with him is.
(i hate the cutscenes in two but i though the gameplay was pretty good, it was the basis for the new game system when you really look at it)

i wanted dmc5 to star nero and lucia trying to figure what happened to dante after dmc2 with dante exploring hell.
other than that just do a clean reboot.

well i wasn't talking about all that in one game, other games that you can play that explain those gaps. each gap getting its own individual game.

I thin nero's story would be good as an anime and 2 would require some working around but they can acknowledge that those events happened but dante wasn't as quiet and he decided to go to hell because of a whim and felt that he left the world in capable hands so he is taking a vacation and five would pick up from there.
