my pount was to an average gamer DmC on dmd is challenging but DMC3 on DMD.is ruthless
How "average" do you mean, though?

If it's "average" you're talking about, then I'm sure the gamers who are just getting into DmC will find DMD at least somewhat challenging.

I think you're talking more about "fluent" gamers who play a lot, but aren't "hardcore".

Yes. You're right about most average gamers thinking DMC3 DMD would be ruthless... but then again, most average gamers don't play DMD, so it's a negligible point. It has some merit, but only if that gamer built on his skill (which most gamers don't do all that much anyway).

Not really as you can take out a lot of enemies with it on by using aquila and ground pounds.
Yeah. But you could also use plenty of "spam" tactics in DMC3 without even leveling up as well.

Also, I wasn't talking about DmC's combat -- I was just saying that because you said DMC3 DMD was only easy if you used JC killer bee, switch cancel with spiral, and mastered RG.

The only thing that I was adding was that you could use other tactics to make DMC3 DMD easy. That's all.

Considering the endurance and health boost dt'd enemies get in 3 , there isn't a lot that can simplify it or make it hugely easier outside of dte and rg but in DmC there are loads

i never said you had.to do it to beat.it only.to make it very.easy , it is being taken up wrong now so just forget i said anythin

Oh sorry then.
Wait.

What about Vergil DMD? I remember having to learn JC just to beat him when he hulked out on me with his insta-heal "Desperation" (quasi-permanent) DT. XD

Dodge or go DT along with him.
"Easier"? Yes.
"Too easy"? No, for me, it still provides at least a decent challenge in terms of difficulty.

And it does for me...to get through the annoying puzzles. fighting them is simple. Dodge and then attack. It might take longer, but its not difficult.

I share a bit of a love-hate relationship with this games difficulty.
On one hand, it is dumbed down as all hell, I occasionally get the feeling the game is backing down and letting me kick it's ass. Yet at the same time, it removes some of the UNFAIR (I still stand by my defense of DMC3's weapon system) crippling features. The level design is more open range, rather than restricting me to narrow halls with spinning blades.
But the combat doesn't present challenge because the enemy AI is pathetic, thus making me feel like the only real reason I need that open range is those jackasses with the chainsaws.
In the end, my feelings about DmC's difficulty is like my feelings about coffee with milk.
It's less bitter and easier to take, but I feel like a pussy drinking it since I can drink it black

I didn't find it too easy. I thought it was decently challenging. Then again, DMC3 was the first honest-to-god hack'n'slash game I ever played and that kicked my butt like ain't no one's business, so maybe I just suck at gaming. =D Go me! That said, the higher difficulties don't feel as tough as the other DMC games' higher difficulties.... *remembers how hard LDK mode was in DMC4 and how hard VMD mode was in DMC3 and doesn't think DmC's higher modes feel anything like that, yet*

Everybody in this thread is like "oh I beat SOS and DMD like it was nothing."

Meanwhile my ass has been kicked a quarter mile.

I know these feels, bro. I know these feels. :'(

Personally I thought it was one of the easiest games I've ever played.

DMC3 took me a long time to Platinum. I had to do a lot of work, replay a lot of missions, google methods to beat the secret missions, and work and work at beating any stage on DMD and a lot of healing items and a few DT items.

DmC took me 3 days to Platinum, I only googled one location for the last key and never used any items to the point I ran out of space when I collected them in the stages. I finally started dying on DMD mode but I still managed to beat it with a relative amount of ease sine when enemies DT it doesn't make as big an impact as other DMC games.

Perhaps saying that it's the easiest game I've ever played but I only have 3 platinums and they are for Bayonetta, DMC3, and DmC and DmC was by far the easiest to get.

It was very easy. There are easier games out there, like Lolipop Chainsam or NMH, but it was easier for me than some GoWs. The only thing that gave me trouble in DmC was Vergil on HaH. Took me about 5-6 attempts to take him down. But i never felt as if I stuck at one place because of difficulty.
