Everybody in this thread is like "oh I beat SOS and DMD like it was nothing."

Meanwhile my ass has been kicked a quarter mile.

don't sweat it. i still have problem with DMC 3 DMD mode. DmC was too easy, DMC 4 was a bit hard. DMC 3 is hell hard. My opinion though.

If you mean when you fight two then equip the shotgun and wait for him to teleport through a portal

when he reappears hit with rebellion asbhe exits the portal and you can parry and stun him. Then get a few hits in and use.a knockback move and shoot a charged shotgun bomb. You can also use.kablooey amd dt detonate for more damage

just keep moving and take em down one by one

A lot of people like to talk big whenever the more difficult modes are brought up. That's why I came up with this idea... whatever it takes to make the dudebros cry.

Dante Must Die -- Hard Mode: First Degree Challenge

Dante Will Die -- Hard Mode: Second Degree Challenge

Abandon All Hope -- Hard Mode: Third Degree Challenge

Edit: 9th Circle: Cocytus -- Hard Mode: Fourth Degree Challenge

Dante Gone Rogue -- Hard Mode: Fifth and Final Challenge

I think the only thing that gave me any trouble on harder difficulties were the crazy teleporting guys but then I started using charged Marshmallow punches against them and they couldn't even touch me.

Hollow Vergil was pretty hard on Hell and Hell too until I just jump cancelled him to pieces. That was honestly the first time I'd ever jump cancelled anything too. Didn't even know what it was until right before I tried it, and took him down my first try. It was really simple and easy to pull off, or maybe I just got lucky.

So yeah, a huge step down in difficulty, imo. If I'm honest though, it's pretty far down my list of complaints since I don't necessarily play for difficulty.

It does make the trophies a bit more impressive though, which is always nice.

Yes, far too easy. I played the game on the hardest default setting first try and there was no challenge at all, I only died a few times and most of those were mistakes on the platforming crap.
Never played any of the harder modes because the game wasn't worth going through again on a slightly less easy mode.

The reason for the dumbing down in difficulty is because the game was both made for casuals and was built around the story instead of the gameplay, both facts that Capcom admitted to, games that are built around the stories are ALWAYS insultingly easy because the gameplay has to level with the in your face story.

DMC3 is only easy ondmd when you master royalguard and use DTE's and jc killer.bee on bosses and switch cancel with spiral

the problem with DmC's difficulty for me isn't that the enemy's are too week (on DMD a rage when DT'd can kill you in one shot)
its that enemy's and bosses attacks are ridiculously telegraphed
most of the times that i'v been hit is because i doge too early
