No point on making a whole thread on this so...
Anyway, I think that's the same thing embedded on the hilt of the Yamato.
Now the question is if that is meaningful or just because cool.
If I was you I would be care with the idea that " there is no hidden meanings in the things". It's not the first time you're wrong, but, in this case it can be true.Of course it's because cool. I know you like going find supposedly hidden meanings and all that, but not everything has to have one.
The dragon was on Yamato's hilt, so they put it on Vergil's boots as well.

Maybe there is a meaning behind it , but only an art book can answer this .Anyway this dragon is different from the hilt. And this is not the first time I say garlic and you understand onion, to roughly translate a saying we use here. Where did I say there's no hidden meanings behind things? I just said not everything has to have one. Those two assertions are not the same thing, please catch the difference.

Hilt's dragon is similar to this:
Since I don't know too much about sales, are these good sales or bad sales?I guess that now that Capcom stated DMC's future ain't tied to DMC4SE's sales, the hysteria has subsided, but for those interested in its sales anyway, SteamSpy reports a number of about 87.000 copies sold (supposedly globally), while VGChartz (I would love to use another source but eh) reports about 73.000 copies, but only taking into account PS4 sales in USA and Japan (thus excluding XBox One global sales and PS4 EU sales).
So, the amount excluding PS4 EU and XBox One global is around 160k as of now.
