Cats Vs dogs

I've heard that a cat saved someone before on radio. I heard it at work... Dogs are better helpers, I admit. But some woman had her face ripped off by her own dog "Who was apparently as good as gold"... I mean come on, no cat is ever going to claw their master's face off whilst they are sleeping. They would be too lazy to even bother doing that.

I had a dog growing up, and she was very loving and loyal But I turned to being a cat person, as I find a lot of dogs as very aggressive. There is also a show about dogs called "It's me or the dog"... Well, that's about turning bad dogs into good dogs. I don't see any show titled "It's me or the cat"... So it goes to show that even though dogs are more helpful, that they can be more aggressive and dangerous

These are just my opinions on cats and dogs, so yeah :lol:

Seriously, our neighborhood forbids cats. Cause cats are useless! There is a reason why dogs are mans best friend and not cats. There is reason why ppl have more dogs than cats. There is a reason why dogs are used by the police and firemen but not cats.

Granted, dogs can be vicious due to poor training but most dogs arent like that.

Cats creeps me out too.

If cats were useless why were they worshiped? Why do people own them? Cats are comforting creatures. They may not always want to be held or have someone pet them, but just like dogs, they too can sense a persons stress and illness. Which is why they can become very close with owners just like a dog.

Plus you get to make awesome LOL pictures of cats. @_@

Dogs, fish, mice etc. were worshiped in ancient times too.
People own cats cause they're too lazy to care for dogs so they choose a lazy animal.

Also, cats cant do half the stuff dogs do either.

If you want a substitute for a toddler, get a young dog. If you want a substitute for an irritable teenager, get an older dog. If you want something so hopelessly dependent on you that you even have to pick up its crap, get any dog.

However, if you value independence yet want the comfort of another presence in your home without having to be at its beck and call, get a cat. Sure as hell is cheaper to take to the vets too - our dog costs twice as much as both our neighbour's cats do just for a checkup...

I feel people shouldnt have pets if they value independence more yet want "company", which is why when I move out I'm not having a pet until I know I'll have the time. The way you make it sound, you might as well NOT have kids if you value independence more yet want "company" either. :lol:

Your supposed to be at a pet's beck and call, like you would for a child. Yeah, its costy and time consuming, like child care but it is most rewarding though. Dogs are immensely more popular than cats because, if you think about it, they're similar to humans. Think about.

Angel just furthered my opinion on cats.

Taking care of dogs are like taking care of kids. Angel pretty much said it. We used to own a dog and it was a hassel. Sure cats bite, whine, and make messes too, but a dog is just as big as a responcibility as a young kid. Infact I hate kids and wish for a manditory sterilization, but this isn't the case here. Training both animals to behave or stop certain things you can't stand or they shouldn't do is hard. YOU have to be the one to make that happen.

We had a dog. She was sooo reliable. Her name was Shiva.
She could do ANYTHING. She saved my life from a thug too. A cat wouldnt do that. I loved her like I loved my brothers. I would of killed the President if it was for her well being.

fFFFHaha. We used to have a neighbor who named his dog dumbass (and called him many other mean things). I didn't think it was nice, but hey. He knew the dog better that I did. I like naming animals. You can name them things you can't get away with when it comes to naming a child.

In the case of a cat, its EXTREMELY hard! (had a cat for a year but afterwards I put it to sleep for being useless)

Having had kids meself, I can honestly say a dog is far more work - at least a kid can communicate properly and learn not to be such a pain in the backside

As for child support - well, they gotta catch you first, right?

Thank you! Another person who cannot stand the 360. Sorry for this being off topic for a sec, but I've never been fond of the X-box period. I can't walk into Play-n-Trade without the guys gawking all over the 360 in the back and playing it. Which is also a poor thing to do as an employee. They pretty much ignore anyone unless you say excuse me or HEY really loud.

Just because cats are bad for you, doesn't mean They are worthless. That's just your opinion... Tons of people own cats. Every time I have asked some people which they prefer "Cats or dogs"... Most say cats. They are winning in this poll, same as they won last time when I did this thread. So they must be doing something right to get more votes

*Hangs head down* I can't believe you people. 360 is just as good looking as the PS3 IMO. Why so much ****ty fanboy/girlism? It's just a console at the end of the day, no need to express hatred towards it... I mean come on, what happened to simply disliking something? If a pal owns a 360, and he/she simply wants you to play with him/her because you are pals, and the two of you doing something would be classed as something to do/kill time, then that must be fun no matter what the console.
