Bayonetta 3, Switch Exclusive

This was the only good thing about that pi$$ poor show.

I bought a WiiU just for Bayo 2, guess I'll have to do it again for Bayo 3 with the Switch, only this time, the Switch has some games that are actually worth a damn.

Honestly after buying wiiu just for bayo, now I just wait till they anounce director. Bayo2 was horribly underwhelming.

Well, I guess any real, solid interest I might have ever had for this franchise dies here.

Still, good for Platinum, being on one console is better than none.

I'll remain neutral on Bayo3, the first one was solid (didn't really scratch my Action game needs as much as I would've liked). What I've seen, heard and played of 2 wasn't all that great, it somehow didn't feel as good as the first.
Let's wait and see.

Well, since I'm one of 8 multi-celled organisms on this forum that actually owns a Switch, so....good news for me.

I still haven't finished the first two games on Wii U, embarrassingly enough. Probably should get back to those. (And no, I have no interest in rebuying them for the Switch).

I noticed that Bayonetta has her game 1 appearance, so that tells me we're in for timeline plot that will once again confuse the hell outta me.

So possible theories from tvtropes in no particular order

Pompeii/Mount Vesuviis get a shoutout
Rodin is an antagonist but not the villian
She fights Death itself
She is ripped apart metaphorically- her lumen side manifests itself
It deals with alternate universe where Bayonetta was raised by her father as a lumen sage.

The new sidekick is an older teenager
Either a teen cereza/jeanne/luka, older loki, bayo's kid, a new hunter, enzo's kids.

Other unlikely ideas are Dante pops up and bullet witch is canon

There is also the fact that she vanishes and she collapses. Hard to tell what that means. Is she dead? Is she being carried away? Is she fleeing?

I have a theory 'bout this. I think that the story takes place before B1 at first to lay a foundation of the plot and then comes back to post B2 when you know what happened back then.

Please, no more timetravel stuff. Second was major middle finger in terms of story :(
Both games had a huge amount of time travel and altering the past as a plot point. Not sure they'll stop tradition.

I like some of those.

If there is a Teenage Cereza to sidekick I hope she's a bitch. I really hope she has to put up with an obnoxious, cell phone addicted, rude teenager.

These are the illustrations for the end credits of Bloody Fate. It couldn't find them online so I removed the text to get clean images. Figure I share before the thread turns one year old.

@berto: I like that they're all signed "Luka". He's a damn good artist if that's the case. He might just be able to take up work doing commissions if the whole journalist thing doesn't pan out.

I wish Bayonetta 3 would add a new Lumen Sage playable with Nero vibes.
I wish they would show some gameplay footage already. All we got was a teaser last year, and that's it. What is with the Japanese making us wait and trying to tease us with surprises? It gets aggravating.

I'm 80% sure that the only reason they announced it so early is because the Switch version of B1+2 were nearly ready and to increase sales they announced 3 to raise people's interest. Maybe they'll continue tradition and release more on the next Game Awards.
