According to a leaked report i got from the Prince Of Persia team some time ago, Altair will make some appearance in Assassins Creed 2 and they were working on some swimming animations (i can get the quotes if need be). He wont be the main character but from reports i got he will make an appearance.

I bout figured he'll be in it somehow, like in Desmond's flashback or something. But he should still be MIA from like 75-85% of the game since it'll be placed in the French Revolution.

Yeah i dont think he will play a huge role in it but he will be entwined in the story still.
