I think that goku was only a namek variant, he never looked that jacked again in the series other than in the tine chamber in the androids saga when he went ssj grade 2 and grade 3. I agree though, he looked badass like that, and in kaioken against vegeta when he bulked up too.

With the release of a new issue of V-Jump magazine comes a new article on Sparking Zero.

The theme this time is the "Next Generation of Saiyans".

5 vs 5 matches confirmed and being able to fuse mid-battle is the big takeaway IMO since no one is shocked that Kefla, Gotenks and their composites are in the game.

Another KaDazee video breaking down the latest trailer. The Gogeta discussion was by far the most interesting bit as it is very blatant that something's going on when the character is listed as "Gogeta (Super)" when the other Fusion between Goku and Vegeta in the trailer is only listed on the website as "Vegito" without any qualifiers.

Well I reckon that's because Vegito was always canon, whereas Gogeta's first canon appearance was in Super Broly despite being featured in a film before.

Iirc XenoVerse also had Z Gogeta and Super Gogeta.

But I do think it's pretty silly to separate the two. Not like one has showed moves the other didn't.

Ya pretty much, it is also clear it is super broly version as he is using super saiyan blue.

The janemba movie gogeta is not canon.

Man, I love that they allow for branching choices now. I'm tired of revisiting the DBZ story for 12365476564756th time.

I hope they are not just separate what if scenarios and you can actually craft a whole different timeline of events leading to different endings to the story.

Random thought here, but, remember Vegeta and Frieza's obsession with immortality back in the Namek saga?

Thinking about that made me wonder... Why haven't Goku and the other Z fighters used the dragon balls to make themselves and their families immortal? It seems like a no brainer wish for me and my loved ones if I was them, especially with bad guys continuing to pop up every time.

I know the real reason why, just Toriyama never thinking things like this through, but I'm curious as to y'all's takes on a possible in universe explanation as to why they've never done it.

Also, what if you wished for immortality and then to be the strongest in the universe? Would the lifespan shortening cost be negated that way?

So recently when the official product description was released as part of the release date, it said something to the effect of "experience the thrilling story all the way from DBZ to DB Super" which had everyone worried that OG Dragon Ball wasn't going to be represented in the base game and would be relegated to DLC. Thankfully some eagle-eyed people on the internet (such as here) spotted that in the Japanese version of the recent footage shown that there's the younger Announcer from the original Dragon Ball in contrast to the English dub version that has the same guy but in his DBZ era form.

We don't know as of yet what procs the change, but it's an interesting piece of attention to detail. Wonder if they'll come the trifecta by having old man Announcer from GT.

I did get a chuckle out of seeing Toei put up that massive wallpaper the other day showcasing the entire Dragon Ball timeline...and just casually putting in GT as canonically happening after Super - with Western DB fans losing their minds trying to figure out how that's even possible.

Clearly Toei doesn't care at all about potential logical inconsistencies like us Westerners do.
