I really don't think twenty-somethings are old. Most of the characters in the stories I write are around that age.

I get really depressed around my birthday, about a week before... i'm inconsolable...(sad really, no one can help getting another year older...)

Mee too! I was super depressed when I turned 30. It sounds so much more than 29. The next years was not that bad, but I don't feel happy for getting older. It's of course wrong, because the alternative to getting a year older is worse.

I am in my mid '30s and I have not gotten myself a walking stick yet. I manage.

I look under 20 though. Get kicked out of bars. My employer laughed about putting me on the bar the other day, for looking like a 16 year old selling drinks.

With my freelancing, that happens a lot. I take my passport to Hobbycraft just to make a point these days. "HERE IS MY MOST SERIOUS FORMAL PROPER PROPER ID WHICH ISN'T FAKE", etc.

Although I don't blame them that time I shoved a basket full of spray paints, Stanley Knife blades, black markers and glue on the counter all while smiling sweetly and hoping I wouldn't have to flash ID. Because I'd forgotten it. XD
