Yo bro, You should check the Witchfinder comics. It's a Hellboy prequel, centering on Sir Edward Grey. He's a magical investigator in the 19th century. It felt like something you'd be interested in.

Just watched the first episode of "Demon Slayer" a brand new anime from this season, and all I could think of was "get Dante in here!" XD
That trailer for Joaquin Phoenix's Joker movie is giving me so many mixed feelings. It looks more like a French Art Movie. :/
There's something else I noticed: While V was curious to see what holding the Sparda sword was like (and drove it into the ground in a fit of anger next to Dante's head) he ultimately ignored the arguably more powerful devil sword dante because the Yamato had somehow gained strength due to it being passed from Nero to Dante then back to Vergil.
(I could be wrong this though.)

Yo bro I wouldn't say V's references to William Blake are inspired by the reboot because the reboot didn't have many classical history allusions. Initially, I saw it that way but Stylish Nero gave me a wall of text proving otherwise.
Granted it would be funny if DmC2 had an allusion to journey to the west
